Ultimately, I think this policy or something similar will be enacted at all theme parks.

But I also think all theme parks need to give security the discretion to remove and ban those who willfully break the rules.

If treating teens like kids, then stop charging adult price tickets for them.

Please, we know what demographics have been an issue. I know banning teens is the politically correct attempt to stop this particular demographic from exhibiting their usual behaviors.

This is exactly right. I’ve spent so much time in the parks. Even though I’ve seen bad behavior from all groups, only one group in particular has been violent on the 3 occasions I’ve witnessed fights. On top of being the absolute worst line cutters and cheats I’ve ever seen.

    2. Exactly what I was going to say. Civil rights didn’t mean certain groups could be civil!

I’ve been to the parks literally hundreds of times. Unfortunately the most profound issues stem from the same group of individuals. Just as you would expect.

  5. I was at Knott’s last June and it was ridiculous. I’m 50 years old and gave visited dozens of parks across the country. Even worked at Magic Mountain a couple years in the early 90s. I wouldn’t even call what I saw line cutting. On multiple occasions large groups of teenagers just walked through the line and right past everyone waiting. There was an implied threat. They were daring anyone including staff to say anything. Straight thuggery in a park full of families.

“The brain finishes developing and maturing in the mid-to-late 20s.” !
Perhaps the chapperon should be at least 26 yrs old! & no one under 26 admitted without one! lol
Banning alcohol at all parks should also be considered.

I worked for 3 major theme parks in Central Florida. Always had a huge problem with a particular group of people. They fought that they owned everything in 1 person would wait in line next thing. You know there are 30 more people joining them. I don’t think that barring a certain group of people is right.but.

Disabled dude here. I felt bad when Disney pulled my family ahead of some others because I was wheelchair bound. I would try to insist we could wait, but they said it was Disney policy to allow disabled individuals to advance. I looked around and saw teenagers trying to steal/beg/borrow them to cut the line. I swore that I wouldn’t go back because I didn’t want to contribute to the problem. I see it has only degraded.
