Terri. You wanted a crack addicted, ghetto Democrat who drugged a male prostitute in a hotel room as the governor? Thank God for our governor. Put on your fauci mask.
Let’s get something straight: De Santis is not the reason Disney is closing the immersive Star Wars hotel. It was too expensive. It was a poor business decision.
Also, let’s stop with “don’t say gay.” That was not what the bill was about. That was not in the bill. I don’t know of you realize this but Miami is a pretty open and accepting city and it is here the state of Florida. I don’t hear them yelling about “don’t say gay.” Why? Because that wasn’t the bill!!!!! So reinforcing a lie. I know gay people who have moved to Florida and love it here. De Santis is leveling the playing field (and tax field) by treating Disney the same as all the other amusement parks that don’t get special privileges. Universal and Sea World are doing just fine without those special privileges. Maybe if old Bob had stayed out of politics he wouldn’t have caught the attention of Ron. Or maybe Ron said enough is enough. Everyone gets treated EQUALLY. You all want Disney to get special treatment. But you also yell about equality. Disney will be just fine paying “their fair share” that you people always want.
Thank you! The voice of reason. Whenever I hear someone call it the “don’t say gay” bill, I want to just slap them. Typical liberal talking points. All words without meaning. Also, this blog is notorious for twisting words around and being as political as Disney.
Disneyland in Singapore would be a great location, with high speed rail route planned from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, and cruises from Indonesia, Philippines and Australia. Whereas India visitors also can come here by plane or cruise. Hope they make a Disneyland that feels like an American original, the kind that invite more tourists in the first Disney park in tropical Southeast Asia. The number of visitors in Tokyo Disneyland prove that making it look original while making new things pays well. Singapore has diverse cultures so it can blend well with various themes.

Would be reasonable; Universal Singapore already exists. The question is where? There’s not a lot of free space there
Of course, jumping the border and building in Malaysia could work; it’s what Legoland did
Peggy
I hope not. I think Disney would be well served to invest in another state in the USA.
They definitely have the consumer base here. North Carolina or in a purple or blue state.
DeSantos won’t be governor forever. But I think a state that really wants the business and tourists would be great.
Florida has shown there true colors. And it’s not just the fight with Disney
Ben
Ha! You got political fast. Disney already said they won’t build a new park in USA. So, travel outside the country or CA or FL.
Pat
I don’t think Disney has ruled out another USA park. I think Singapore is. A solid bet, but another USA park could happen.
Pat
Florida has benefitted economically from Disney for decades. Governors come and go, Disney just might be forever!
Terri
Yes Pat governors do come and go. Hopefully DeSantis will go soon so Florida can go back to what we do best, entertaining people

You slurp down that Woke Kool-Aid realllllly well Carlos. Keep on being told what to think by the propaganda.

Read today that Disney announced new park will be in Texas.
Pat
Really…? Abbott is as unwelcoming as DeSantis. I can’t see that partnership happening right now…
Edward
