I was at the DL and DCA this past week and Friday (5/26) had the same issues. Big Thunder was down all morning and at one point, Indy, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rise, AND Splash were all down simultaneously on Friday. This isn’t counting the numerous times rides went down on the other days we were there, including Saturday. The rides are seriously in the worst shape I’ve seen them in a long time. It was disappointing for sure.
I was there this last Sunday 5/28 and Big Thunder also went down late evening and they didn’t bother to bring it back up so it remained down the rest of the night
I was on Rise a few weeks ago and we were evacuated. We walked in front of the laser cannons to a door, through which we waited in a hallway. That’s where a cast member dressed as a First Order officer said this happens about twice a day.
Obviously it’s a very high maintenance ride, compared to more simple ones like Storybook Canal. The mechanics for that one is just a boat motor, and a hand-held mic and amplifier.
Maintenance, safety, crowd control issues. These are the by products of poor management and diverting funds to cover costs in other areas, excessive executive salaries and poor quality movies the last few years.

I was there Sunday May 21 and it was the same experience… except it was Thunder Mountain, Hyperspace Mountain, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars
