Took my daughter to Disneyland around 1984. Everything looked old. Tokyo Disneyland was a disaster. Stood in line for hours and then rain cancelled the ride. No more
It’s funny only those who want to complain are quoted in any story posted. There are thousands and thousands of park visitors that thoroughly enjoy themselves. Myself, famil and friends included.
Im a dvc member since 2015 and have gone to disney as a kid. The magic is all form past experiences. We go because of the things we felt in the PAST. I love going but there is nothing new disney is doing. Any magic you are paying for now. When you experienced disney in the 80, 90 and 2006-2019 this new disney is terrible a disaster. It is not the disney i grew up with and brought my kids to from 2006-2019. Get make to what made you great and you might get NEW people to full in love like I did growing up. Stop changing loved characters stop popularizing people dont want to talk to thier children about. Get back to making real magic and dream come true. The blue fairy is the blue fairy, the lost BOYS are the lost boys and for the love of god Aril is Ariel. Stop changing lover characters that your fans love. The change will never stick to your real fans. You would think people od color would be embarrassed they are being represented by characters who already made. Its like getting hand me downs. I will go and it is not because of anything done recently. It is all what I and my family experienced in the past.
Hi Margaret, I’ve been going to Disney World staying on property from the UK, sadly I have to agree with the post, the magic has gone, Disney has penny pinched and overcharged, taking things away that were included previously, some rides are in poor condition. We have just returned from a 2 week holiday, which for now will be our last staying at Disney until things improve, its not worth the expense. We have booked to try Universal, which is cheaper by quite a bit to be honest. Don’t get me wrong they too have their problems but Disney really has let its public down and my family, friends and I have had enough. Its so expensive, if you got value for money it would be more acceptable, but you simply do not and we have over just the last 5 years noticed the drop in standards to where we are now its not funny. The Magic has indeed gone from Disney World Too.
People who pay nearly $200 per day for this nonsense are sick of it. We would NEVER pay that. The parks are an overcrowded, poorly maintained, sheetshow. An annual pass with a lot of evening/late night visits is the only way to go. That way you can ride all of the rides, take your time and see everything there is to see – AND to completely shun Genie, Genie+ and paid Lightning Lane thievery.
Has not been the same since Covid. They lost a lot of employees due to their mandate which still exist for new hires to be vaccinated. I was there 12 days ago and could feel the difference. The employees are what make the magic. Sadly it has disapated.
I won’t waste my time or Money at Disney until they fix some things. Especially this Woke garbage!! Woke people are ruining Disney!! Woke people aren’t about making the park better. They are stupid brainless idiots that complain about everything they see is offensive. It’s like an Indian man complaining about seeing a red stop sign every day. Saying it’s offensive to me because it represents red the color of Indian skin and that’s racism and that’s offensive to me.We need to change the color of the stop sign to blue.Because it’s very offensive to me. That’s what these Woke people are doing to Disneyland and all the parks.Im really ticked when they took out splash Mountain because of some brainless turds that don’t know the full story and never re-search what the story song of the south was about but just on the surface. MORONS!!This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. Who ever heard of a ride about opening up a restaurant?? So stupid!! It’s like making a ride about someone taking a dump on the toilet. So LAME!! The story song of the south up lifted black heritage. It showed how precious black people were and valued. And all this about the black tar baby in the film had nothing to do with black people. Lol That’s what is so stupid. That’s not what the definition of black tar baby means. Black tar baby is a situation that if you keep messing with the situation you keep getting more and more stuck. There was no racism there or racial slurs. There is no racism on the ride either. I have rode Splash Mountain with black people of color and they loved it!! They had a blast. It’s so stupid how woke people have to always ruin a good thing!!! Disneyland is gone and the magic is gone!! And unless changes are made to change that.Disneyland is going to keep going down the dark rabbit hole until. It is no more!! The woke people are destroying Disney and the parks and they need to be stopped,!!!
You based this fake propaganda on comments from random whiners when both U.S. Disney parks entertain millions of guests every year? Nobody believes the crap you clowns write.
Disneyland is a cheap imitation of a lost era which is now gone forever. Anybody pandering to Disney these days clearly doesn’t remember the golden age.
Propaganda? You’re the clown, make no mistake about that dude.
As a former long-time passholder, I remember the old days when things were originally done to improve the guest experience like amazing live entertainment and not all this nickling and diming to make more money. Food was something to look forward to but now is too much for too little. We stopped going because the way Disney is going it would only be a matter of time before they start charging for character meet and greets, charging to use outdoor seating/table areas, and putting in paid toilets!
To be honest if you don’t WE don’t keep watch it WE will be doing ONLY what our DICTATOR SAY THAT WEcan do and that will be NOTHING. Leave Mickey Mouse along and place your mind on the MONSTER that’s trying to turn our kids into dumb, sombies. If you notice that after
ending of every cartoon of Disney. It’s telling us how to treat each other. Plus it’s only made up charters, unlike us WE’RE REAL.And we should know better for the sake of our KIDS
It’s lost It’s magic because the regular Joe can’t afford what they charge . Just to stand around in the heat waiting for a ride that will be just down. Just so they can nickel and dime you into the poor house.
I will go as long as there is an opening! I have too many wonderful memories to give them up. I will not go there to look for wats wrong or the changes. Disney gave me much& I will appreciate that.
I don’t understand if Disney have billion of dollars to invest at Florida , why they don’t invest that money here at California Disneyland? They need to restore the magic. They need to get this place bigger. They can get enough land to build another Disney world. This is Mickey Mouse Homeplace.
It’s the people don’t appreciate nothing causing crime and trouble I still love disney boost of security, more cameras , police on site, do whatever it takes to make it magical again…
I just returned from Disneyland; it’s definitely not the DL of the 90’s and early 00’s. Guest are ruder than ever before; comments, behaviors, etc. it makes me sad. We actually skipped our last park day because we’d all had enough after 3 full days. The price gouging, the crowds, the sometimes cranky Cast Members takes away some of the magic of the past. Disney and I might be taking a break for a while.
This is halarius!! Disney lost it’s magic? Then why are the parks so “overcrowded” then?! I think more people don’t / can’t go because of th prices. I spent a lot to go with my son this spring break. Single dad making memories – priceless?! No. I could tell you to the dollar what I spent. Magic is there: with whom you are with, the mindset you bring, the planning you make. Even at spring break 2023 we walked into the parks late morning and onto AVATAR, Tron, and the new Guardians ride. Did the after hours at Hollywood Studios and knocked out Rise of the Resistance – twice! We’d go again but it’s too expensive to go as frequently as we’d like..
A lot of the magic is nostalgia and from very positive happy memories frim growing up with Disneyland and Disney in general. However, negative memories and quickly overshadowing and those of us who have been AP members from the beginning are thinking it’s no longer worth it, not just because of the price. If you come away feeling unhappy and cheated then why pay for it.
I used to love it. Now it’s overpriced, Genie+ is a ripoff, and good luck finding food without prepaying on the app and waiting an hour. We waited two hours to get on Rise of the Resistance which broke down.
I’ll go to Silver Dollar City or Dollywood instead.
I was a longtime pass holder
Until they raised prices so high. I can still afford it but I don’t respect the fact that pretty much 75 per cent of the population in socal can’t afford $500 to $700 for a day at Disneyland it’s plain disgusting. I
Maybe they need a wake up
call from a huge loss in attendance and sales similar to Target and Anheuser-Busch? If something works don’t try to fix or change it!!
I was a Disney fanatic for most of my 65 years. I stopped going after the experience went south. I have a picture of horse poop on Main Street! The bathrooms are dirty. The magic is gone! I haven’t given up completely, I still have my tattoos, all 4 of them. And faith that the “new normal” will get old and I’ll live long enough to see it 🙏
My wife and adult son have been two of the biggest Disney fans ever. However with the placement of a trans woman at the entrance to Bibity Bobity Boo store they announced to me today they will no longer visit any Disney property.
How about some positives of what’s been happening at the Disneyland Resort. Like World of Color. That show is big time. The front viewing area is always full, at least for the first showing. Market House on Main Street always does a fantastic job being open until 30 minutes after closing, with coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and more. They have a good rotation of parking trams, and it doesn’t take long for one to leave and the next to arrive. Wizard aka Wiz still walks around on Main Street sometimes at closing time, if anyone’s met him. I’ve notice the restrooms being constantly maintained well. Especially the one under the Mickey parking building escalators. The cast member there at closing time keeps it maintained well and seems to be happy there. I wish him well.

Learn how to compose a letter, how to spell and how to punctuate. Then people might understand what you are talking about.

Greed ruined Disney, both for visitors and cast members. Glad I was able to experience the real Disney magic, long ago.
