Y doesn’t our governor take care of some important stuff LIKE the insurance Rate hikes and stop playing the game of politics. Isn’t he too old to be playing with MICKEY
It would be great if they would permanently reduce ticket prices to these amounts! Too many families cannot afford to take their children to what is deemed the “happiest place on earth”, and I truly believe the fun and the wonderful staff can make a huge difference in lives of those who are always priced out of these parks.
Disney prices were always cost prohibitive. My family couldn’t go when I was a kid. never. I went on my honeymoon at 25. it was never priced for the masses. I was in a middle class family and my father worked for the US government. We weren’t poor, but a disney vacation was beyond our means. My husbands family went more than once but not mine. it was OK. but I always find it odd when people complain that it isn’t affordable anymore. It never really was.
Its a start, the last time we where there for an extended time they had a $79 a person deal like this, which was a lot cheaper then the base ticket at the time. For my Family of four it made a big difference for our budget. My hope is this is the start of offering discounts for certain periods of time, which would be really great.
I’m in the same boat. Paid $150 more per each of our 6 tickets for early June and we were going to go to each park once. I think we both know the answer to the question about whether or not Disney will adjust our cost…
So glad Mr. Iger is back in charge. The ticket prices have been so far out of reach for so many people. I have been to Disney over 20+ times, and vowed not to go again until prices had settled down. This really needs to be the price all the time, not just for a couple months; as this will cause such an issue with large crowds in the parks during these special months. Walt had a dream for all children, not just those who had rich parents. Please consider extending the prices.
As a Florida resident, it’s nice to get ticket price breaks but to still make a reservation is totally unfair. Since the tickets will expire 7 days after the first use, what if you can’t get reservations for all of the other days?? Do you lose the money spent or will there be a refund for the days not used ?? I’ve not been to WDW since the pandemic and had yearly passes that still had a few months to go but lost money on that portion and don’t want that to happen a second time. The ticket prices for residents has gone up considerably since then. I’ve been going to Disneyland since 1959 and DisneyWorld since 1973 and have seen price increases that have kept many guests (including my family) from going.
Can you actually give me a viable definition of what “woke” means? I’ve yet to find one anywhere that makes any sense. I hear nothing but crickets everywhere else I ask.
They should lower the prices throughout the year and stop the park reservations. I’m a Florida resident, Disney Vacation Club owner since 2001 and I was an annual passholder every year since the 80’s until the pandemic. With the new complicated annual passes, the extreme hike in their prices, and the ridiculous park reservations, we can no longer afford them. As a Florida resident for 63 years (I was born here), we used to just show up to a park on a whim, enjoy the atmosphere, walk around, eat, drink, and enjoy ourselves. No longer. These lower prices for the summer in Florida when it gets to the upper 90’s in temperature is not helpful at all!!!!
They are doing this because people visiting Disney World in FL are way down. Money made from the parks/resorts are paying for their streaming services which are losing money. Report said first time ever that FL was the lowest performing out of all the other parks. When my kids were young 80’s early 90’s the parks were open 8-12/1:00 every night we were there in April. They also did the parade twice at night. The hours now are a ripoff. Guess Iger doesn’t realize some people read business articles.
When will Iger realize that they are turning the resort into a place for Florida residents only! It is great to show loyalty to your neighbors but Americans from the other 49 states would like to “experience the magic” too. We always thought of WDW as our second home, but sadly my four year old grandchild can’t get to experience my favorite place because it would take a mortgage on the house to do so!!!!!!!!!! My wish was to spend my 75th birthday at the parks, but it is not possible at the current hotel and ticket rates.
Come on Mr. Iger!!! You can do better than that. You just want to draw some folks down during the hottest months of the year. And why the deals for Florida residents? It’s only costing them a tank of gas to get there. They aren’t spending a ton of money to drive/fly down to Florida! Have you seen the cost of fuel? Plane tickets? Oh and lets not forget the resorts! They are far from cheap either! We love Fort Wilderness! Have been coming down for at least 30 years. Now that we are retired, it’s just not affordable for us. We can stay in Florida at a great RV Resort for an entire month for what it would cost us to stay at FW now for a week!! It has amazing amenities, the only down side, No Disney parks or any of the fun Disney modes of transportation. But, who cares when we can have a full month of Sunshine with biking, walking, pools, hot tubs, activities, laundry mats, great places to eat nearby, and so on. Yes we’ll miss the atmosphere at Fort Wilderness, but with all the things being changed/and our favorite things about the Fort being deleted…. (Trails End for one) there just isn’t the nostalgia that we kept coming for. All hopes for bringing Great Grand kids aren’t an option now. Hopefully you can come up with a way to fix this. They used to have Senior days with lower rates, how about special passes for Seniors who just want to enter the parks with their families? How about discounts for seniors at the camp grounds? You NEVER see any special deals for Fort Wilderness. Please!! Find a way to keep Fort Wilderness the lovely camping experience it has always been. Anyhow. If you see this Mr. Iger, please give it some thought. Thanks for reading this.
Sincerely, Long time Disney Fan, Nancy
a start—yearsof abuse a poor management in place the last few years–I and my family have been going to wdw for the last 50 years–it was a heaven for us–now it has become a place that you cannot afford to visit time after time–hopefully, Iger can bring back some sanity to the company—the Disney experience was one of the worlds best truly, customer focused )—lets get it back—-for the record, we have been to the parks many times—we do not live across the street, wisconsin is our home–that means at least a weeks stay at the park and all that goes with it—bring back the magic !!

The issue for me isn’t just the ticket prices but also forcing you to use them in a set time frame. I believe this deal is 4 days and used over 7 days. That isn’t the same as before. I believe it was 4 days for 6 days. If you are a resort vacationer, any tickets bought should very good for the entire stay. We are going from 8/31 to 9/11 this year and most families probably would rather probably do parks every other day. This deal is cool but blacked out 9/1-9/4 and I get it being a holiday weekend but let us use the tickets for the entire stay NOT some arbitrary timeframe. This deal is essentially the 5 day ticket price as-is. It’s a start but disney has A LOT of work to do to undo the damage by the previous CEO.
I love to hear the prices are coming down. Walt Disney had intended for Disney World and Disneyland to be an affordable place for every family to enjoy. I agree with all the other commenters that the price needs to come down permanently so people can again enjoy all the benefits of Disney.
It’s about time I used to go every year always loved Disney world could relax and enjoy the Disney world magic.lost job at whirlpool in Indiana they went to Mexico couldn’t afford to go now on disability still can’t go or maybe I can now Disney magic do your very best to make this happen on prices not only for me but the worlds children and adults please bring affordability for old and young bring back those memories for all to enjoy. Thank you walt Disney and now CEO in charge now for this chance of a lifetime every year that my body will allow me to get to honor Mr Disney once again and again mickey mouse save me a pair of those ears . love mickey mouse and everyone involved in the best day ever for everyone. Have a great day every day have fun today 🎉🎂
That’s all well and good, but it’s just a small change for a short period of time. With the price of the genie and lightening pass you spend a small fortune after paying to get inside the parks. They are trying to tell everyone that it’s better than the Fast Pass used to be, it’s not even close to being the truth. The Fast Pass worked great, but it was free. I’ve been going to Disney for more than 25 years and the last time we went we paid a fortune for the genie and lightening passes to get on popular rides and stood line for hours. Never happened with the Fast Pass! That’s one of the things they need to change. We will not be going back unless some things change.
I love that the prices are coming down but agree we need them for Disneyland too. We love Disneyworld, but there is no way we are going to support anything in Florida right now even if it means not going to Disneyworld. Many of my friends who loved travelling to Florida refuse to go back until the political vendetta against Disney is ended and more tolerance for LGBTQ right and education is approved again. Time for Disneyworld to Show Florida what they are going to lose and close down completely for a few months
Girl your hopes and wishes for Florida to change under REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP will NEVER 👎🏾 HAPPEN LOL 😂!!!!! This is TRUMP NATION !!!! This is what your cohorts voted for !!!!! AGAINST their “own interests” !!!!! I’m just laughing at them now !!!!
I think it should be a lot lower.I am a family of 10 even this price is to expensive for us to go they are still making lots of money I bet Mr Disney is rolling In His grave for the price now it is suppose to be a happy place on earth. I would love to take my kids there some have never been
Disney offers a great price to Florida residents, knowing that most will be unable due to reservations or forget that that is part of the deal to use the 4 days within a week of using the first one. Watch most get 2 or 3 days tops, then cry about how they threw away 1 or 2 days. Suddenly, the price isn’t as attractive.
Disney does this to not only get you to eat a day or two and not use them, but to stay there in one of their over-priced hotels in order to use the great deal on tickets you got.
When the pandemic broke out and the parks closed, many people had the 3 or 4 day Florida resident’s passes that were required to be used within a certain time frame on the calendar. Seeing as the closing happened at the very beginning, most people could not use all the days because the parks were closed. When they reopened, all of these people were told, “sorry, those have expired.” Disney basically kept your money and never honored the unused days that Disney prevented you from using to begin with.
The $100-a-day price doesn’t rival Six Flaggs at all! you can get a Platinum Pass for the rest of the season for $170–7 months in California. That is a far cry from $400 for 4 days. For Bush Gardens you can pay $500 per year for a platinum pass that includes ‘unlimited admission with no blackout dates for 12 months to 11 parks & that includes parking. Disney’s lower tickets aren’t even close.
They still treat passholders like crap! The only passes we could barely afford was pixie mon-fri and then they took all the Mondays away that fell on holidays! A decrease for individual tickets and a fortune for passholders!! No wonder their in trouble!
Not anywhere near Six Flags prices. I can get a season pass for Fiesta Texas for around $100.00, and for a bit more you can get a season pass meal plan.
I think they are making up the difference with the Lightning Lane/Genie+ add ons. It used to be free for fast passes. I think Disney was the last theme park hold-out on charging for “cut the line” passes. But, when Disneyland first opened, it was a pay per ride venue…
Why is there no love for Disneyland? DW gets discounted tickets, meal plans, and soon they won’t have to make reservations. None of that is happening for Disneyland. Why? Why does Disneyworld get everything?
What a joke! As late as 2003, i not only got discount non park hopper
3 or 4 day disney park tickets(& even an offsite motel room!) for < $30 a day each!, i was able to go on all the rides in many of the parks 3 or more times! & went on splash mountain 14 consec times in the single rider line with a very short wait, till they told me to go on some other ride! For some other attractions, free PAPER fast passes got me on them quick as well.
All on weekdays after labor day in September, when all of the kids were back in school, except those who played hooky.
Covid, Steve Jobs' invention, replacement <3 min roller coasters, & Star Wars & Potter stuff all totally ruined the Florda theme park experience.
I commented earlier, but I again want to stress that this “low” price from June through August is the HOTTEST TIME OF THE YEAR in Florida! This is NOT a deal. The average temperature will be 95, and the heat index will be over 100. I was born in Florida and have lived here all my life, was a passholder since the 1980s and we would NEVER go to Disney, starting June 1st because of the terrible heat until sometime in September, and even that is a stretch because September can still be awful. In those early days, we made that mistake and spent too much time in our hotel room to stay cool.
If you do take advantage of that low-price deal this summer, plan lots of breaks, lots of sunscreen, hand-held water fans, wet towels, and lots of water! Oh, and keep an eye on the tropics because it’s also hurricane season!
Please give us a discount for Christmas. Our family want to do some different. We lost my dad, only son and baby brother in 2019. Then this past September 2022 lost my mom. So we want to leave home and try to start new and not cry and be sad at the empty chairs at our Christmas Eve and Christmas day dinners. But the cost to the parks might not happen. For 15 people plus our room to stay.

I would love it more if I were able to use it. I’m going at the beginning of October. So guess I’ll have to bring the bank along again

You could just stay home and stop the tourist infestation of Florida. I hear California and Paris are nice in October.

And say goodbye to tourist dollars and hello to higher Florida taxes and fees. More tourists please!

Clearly you did not completely read the article. It says that NO reservations are needed with these tickets.

No, clearly you didn’t. Florida residents still need reservations. The regular ticket deal for non-Florida residents won’t need reservations.
