They just have to abide by local laws which don’t allow places to sell alcohol and coffee at the safe location I believe. So the cafe/bar becomes cafe only

Being offended. I am diabetic type two and my doctor told me to have wine only and my former pastor explained about dangers of violence and death.
This is not a Disney-only rule. I was on Royal Caribbean last month and while stopped at Grand Cayman, only the Pool Bar was open for alcohol. I think Grand Cayman wants you to get off the boat and spend some money! 🙂
I prefer Carnival.
Disney is a great ship but cost way too much and I have no small children. But I do like Disney world. I have been to the Camen islands before.
