Disney star wars are ok as long as it’s acknowledged that nothing Disney puts out is cannon. Once star wars fans realized that then pretty much everything Disney does will be less insulting
If the writers could understand the whole Starwars story from books then they’d understand how most of us love watching Obiwan and how he was able to watch young Luke Skywalker and help him find his own way. I’m tired of seeing many shows on Disney+ get cancelled before they get even a chance to take off.. I admire Ewan Mcgregor and making Obiwan his own.. Hopefully the creators & writers give another chance in letting the true fans decide if they want a second season or not.
Like you said Old Ben deserves his films. I know he has so much between ROTS and A New Hope that we don’t know about. Give us the gap fillers we want. Lengthy and precise.
It’s disappointing that the article writer chose to acknowledge the neckbeards on the internet who didn’t like Moses Ingram’s character. The character was actually very compelling and well-written. But she was black, and female, and consequently criticized as a ‘diversity hire’ by those who think any character that isn’t a white male must have been hired to fulfill some kind of quota.
The truly sad thing about it was that Moses was *incredibly* honored to have become a part of Star Wars, since she was a huge fan. In interviews, her face just lights up when she gets a chance to talk about what it was like to appear next to Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi. And now she probably has PTSD over the experience based on the terrible things people said about her when the show aired.
One thing that amazes me about the Disney+ Star Wars is..
Many years ago I wrote a Roleplaying adventure for my Star Wars-group – set in a “what-if” scenario – where the duel between Qui-Gon and Darth Maul.. where Qui-Gon survived and.. well.. everything changed!
My storyline that developed was so close to the Obi-Wan show.
That was.. fascinating to watch!!
It felt like they had read my notes…
How about this… Stop trying to make cheap, quick one-offs for the sake of your streaming service and just focus on making good, immersive, high quality movies? That, and the supporting merch, has been the formula for billion dollar success for over 45 years.
The truth is Disney’s look for any reason that to ditch Obi-Wan Kenobi series Star wars Jedi survivor that’s just nonsense for them to try to justify they want to look into the other Jedi who survived order 66 anyone with a brain can see the lies this will come back and bite Disney in the butt I assure you
Obi Wan is foundational to the Star Wars universe. Putting his stories in a virtual closet pays tremendous disrespect to the entirety of the Star Wars universe. More Obi-Wan or I’ll know Disney has gone to the darkside.

How about Disney do the right thing and give Obi-Wan some drama as he protects Luke over the growing up years!
I realize Disney only has just so much money to spend, but, come on guys, give Old Ben the excitement he deserves!
