My son and grandson both went to WDW well before age 5. I do not regret taking either of them. Even though permanent memories do not occur before age 4 1/2 or so, Visceral learning takes place at a much younger age, If all you want are permanent memories of the trip, then wait until after age 5. Just realize that actual learning is a combination of experiences and actual learning begins before birth’
