I’m guessing no one asked the campers their vote on keeping or ending Trails End. It’s a staple to the campground. There was never an empty table. Always a waiting line. Doesn’t that tell you how popular it is? So get rid of it? If anything expansion would be more of a solution.
We’ve been there and used small selection at the take out. We’ve tried the lunch trucks. There’s no comparison to Trail’s End.
And don’t even suggest the Hoop de Do. All though it’s the same food as Trail’s End and has great entertainment. It’s by reservation only and limited guest at limited times.
Why fix what ain’t broke. Expand.
The other BIG disappointment was getting rid of River Country. For you young people that don’t know, River Country was the swimming lake for Fort Wilderness Campground. It was right behind Trails End. It was awesome! Now you have two overcrowded cement pools.
There’s another idea. Expand the campground instead of adding all these TOO EXPENSIVE hotels for the average family.
I could go on and on but you get my drift.
Fort Wilderness Campground fan from way back.

Yes ate at Trail’s End and Whispering Canyon . Sad there closing this restaurant. All the good stuff going away.😢

Going to miss this place, always a classic and a must-do for us when visiting 😞

Trail’s End Buffet was one of our family’s favorite place to eat when we were at WDW. It’s a sad day. 🙁
