I’m surprised that they didn’t get the ban hammer immediately. Universal doesn’t typically screw around with anything even remotely safety related like this.
Part of me thinks this is a terribly obvious oversight by the park, building a fiberglass chair that can support some weight is not that difficult. Why not plan this as an awesome photo op to keep guest occupied in line?
I’d fully get the outrage if they were stomping on goomba statues, but sitting on a chair isn’t exactly criminal.

I think it should be open to take a picture as your in the queue. Also they were quick so I don’t find it disrespectful.
