He’s got the personality, looks, and mannerisms of a theatre wooden puppet. Anybody would’ve been a better cast than that dude. Go to sleep you obviously need it.

Are you all dense? This movie is based on YOUNG Wonka. Sorry, but Johnny at 59 can’t pull it off. Johnny’s portrayal is iconic but this is NOT the same character. It’s like getting mad that Jim Parsons didn’t play Young Sheldon. Obviously the story isn’t about his version of the character and neither is the new Wonka. Get over it and yourself
