Honestly, SeaWorld needs to fix it’s existing parks first. They have been becoming less about the animals and more about thrill rides. They need to bring back shows, improve customer service, fix cleanliness issues, reopen closed aquariums and other exhibits that have sat abandoned for years (looking at San Diego here). The list goes on an on.

Well,I was just thinking the same about Florida .Granted it been a while since I’ve been ,but there were a few new rides then,i suppose they think money well spent. I do like that they are stepping away from using the animals as entertainment but I think the money should’ve been used to extend pool areas for the dolphins and orcas etc. They definitely deserve it!

Not sure about the other US Locations but San Diego still has an Orca show as of last week..

Agree with the comment on fixing the parks as the bay arena in San Diego among plenty other areas look like they haven’t been used in who knows how long..

Granted the park is definitely been changing to focus on the rides & they’re building more new rides, as they still have a few animal shows but nothing compared to what there used to be & you go there for the animals not rides?

Was just at SeaWorld yesterday, there is definitely a Orca show, Orca Encounter. This writer did minimal research.

So, a few things wrong here.
First, the new park, although named Sea World, has no actual financial ties to the ones in the US. Second, there are still shows with animals, but the change is that the shows are geared more towards education than just cuteness. Moving away from “Shamu” to the whales/animals actual names and discussing the behaviors you are seeing during the show. Either why they are taught the behavior(for health checks) or why they do the same behavior in the wild.
Third, orca beeding stopped in 2016.
This person did not do research well!
