Disney is a marketing genius, get 30% off star cruiser hotel but you are either an annual pass or Disney vista card holder which both programs charge fees. Interest rate on the Vista or annual dues . Disney makes back the 30% from the guest thru fees.
30% off of $5,000, making it $3,500, is still not an attractive price point for a 2 day, 2 night experience. Disney will have a hard time selling this, considering most of the people who were inclined to book and could afford to, will have by now, and most of those are not likely to be repeat customers save for the die hard fans. Great concept, however poorly executed it was in the pricing. Which is more profitable? 5 people paying 5,000 each, or 15 people paying 2,500 each? If they want to sell more bookings, and make more money, they need to drastically lower the price point. Or else the starcruiser will become a ghost town of a failed attempt at something great.
This is food, accommodations, entertainment, exclusive Galaxy Edge park access and a unique immersive experience. I loved it at full price and this discount is great! Go now!
I did this about two months ago. It was through Disney Vacation Club using points. So I didn’t spend any money for the experience. That being said I believe the price point is too high for two days. It is the equivalent of the more private higher end cruise ships for both price and crowd on board, as it is a more intimate size of crowd. The experience is highly immersive and very busy. We truly enjoyed every moment. It would be better, in my opinion, to lower the price from the $2500/night figure to around $1000/ night and extend for an extra night. It is still discounted, offering more value, and can spread the activities out and not me so slammed into the second day. This would also give people the chance to do things on board that will generate the difference in revenue such as cocktail lounge and gift shop purchases, which could also be expanded, since everything offered is exclusive to guest of the Starcruiser. Also they need to develop a B story line. Right now the timeline of this event. Falls between last Jedi and the rise of skywalker. To go again you would be paying full price to see a “rerun” . That has to change.
Spent 2 weeks checking out the national parks in the southwest. Cost about 3000 dollars for the 2 of us. Gas, food, lodging, and few people. Keep your overpriced make believe.
I would book a trip if I could see Ron DeSantis(Governor Puddin) going thru the airlock, see him floating thru space- with just his XXXL blue suit and red tie on-and then see him either crashing on a distant planetoid or exploding in the void of outer space.

Granted it’s not cost effective, but we are using our DVC points to go in August. This is a one time experience, not like going to the other Disney resorts every year. It looks like an awesome experience to do once. We’re really excited that this will start the week at disney before going to our other resorts.
To pay over $45 an hour per person for less than 30 hours of cosplay in a non-original trilogy “adventure “? A family could go on a seven day cruise for less. Just sayin’
People aren’t going because it’s Rey and Kylo instead of Luke, Leia and Han. If Disney would stop pushing their abysmal trilogy and go back to the characters people love, they wouldn’t be in this mess.
Discounts or not, the experience is still not what most people would spend for a 2 night stay. Disney missed the mark big time with this one, yet they won’t admit it and give it a refurb.

I’ll make it simple. If you have not experienced the Starcruiser you don’t get to have an opinion.

Is Darth Vader part of the experience?

I would book a trip if I could see Ron DeSantis going thru air lock, floating in space, then crashing on a small planetoid-or exploding in space.
