Whoever quoted that statement needs to get their facts straight!!!! The OPPOSITE of this was true…. Carrie Fisher insisted that she be allowed to express her feminine, sexual appeal and talked George Lucas into adding that scene to the movie! George Lucas was initially opposed to the idea because he wanted to make the film appropriate for all ages, however, he compromised because he needed Carrie as one of the stars in his films.
Princess Leia’s slave outfit and the wardrobes for female twileks. I’m not a progressive but I agree Star Wars has some sexualization to its characters.
