I had a similar experience. Except my lights aberdeen didn’t turn on at all. A cast member took it from me, rushed out of the room and didn’t come back with it until everyone else had walked out the door. Truly there is no way to make up for it, who wants to redo the experience, you only get that moment once. I just wish they would had delayed that moment for the group.. make up something about focusing on the force, just buy a little time for the cast member to fix the problem before rushing the group out.
My initial experience was great however a few months after returning to Australia my lightsaber stopped working properly due to faulty switch. I contacted the park who were less than helpful. After spending so much money I was left with a faulty item that Walt Disney Parks refused to assist in rectifying. I was able to tell them which part was faulty and offered to pay for the shipping however I was told it was outside the 30 day warranty period. Pretty sad for such an expensive item.

Robbed… Ha. Get a grip.

It turns yellow instead of purple? That just means you have a yellow Kyber Crystal in it…those are interchangeable. Just get a purple one.
Also, I bet they would have let the kid re-build one if they had asked.
