I would love to move to Orlando if I could! It just cracks me up to hear people say “moving” Disney World to somewhere else. Like Disney World is some trailer home. F.Y.I…Tourism to FL is up 48% in last year & 90% of that were to destinations in FL other than Disney. More residents & new business have relocated to both FL & TX, just since 2021, than any other states. In addition, Disney doesn’t have the money to relocate, not even close. They’re in the midst of their worst financial crisis in the company’s history. A combination of the devastating Biden economy & the fact that the last 4 movies Disney put out were miserable failures & a prime example of “Woke=Broke”. In addition, park attendance is down as are hotel & cruise bookings. Their stock took such a dive they’ve dumped/replaced most of their upper exec staff in an attempt to slow the bleeding. Unfortunately, they just had their 3rd round of layoffs with at least 2 more rounds coming up before year’s end. Don’t judge the citizens, or the visitors, by what the government does. I know it seems like there is a horror story of bad guest behavior every single day, but I visit Disneyland twice a year and Disney World every year or two, and I’ve never had an unpleasant experience. Universally my experiences with both cast members and other guests have been very positive. Pride day was especially nice, it was great to exchange greetings with the other celebrants.
We went to Disneyland years ago and it was wonderful. I am physically challenged (that’s crippled up to us old timers) and have to use a powerchair or a scooter/wheelchair to get around. I was treated (as was my family) as a special guest and made to feel that I mattered. When we went to Orlando, we were a ticket/number/ body who represented $$ and nothing else. I wrote Disney a letter addressed to their entire board suggesting that they quit trying to make everything bigger and better and try finding their roots, their compassion, and there sense of wonder again instead of trying to pay for their bombs at the boxoffice by ticket price increases. The “happiest place on earth” doesn’t exist any longer, it’s just been rechristened as the most expensive place to take your kids. Heck, I had to cash out my 401K just to afford lunch (just kidding, i only used 1/2 of it).
Maybe it is easier to move your governor with no Soul out than Disney. We would need all the mac trucks in the world for Disney. Your governed can go straight to Uhaul and get a 26 footer. Less money spent. Btw who would miss one man over an entire theme park?
Grew up in these parks. My dream job would be to be an imagineer. As an artist & visitor since 1983, Avatar and splash mountain are the best rides. Epcot is awesome, so is animal kingdom and blizzard beach. Ive imagined ideas for rides and attractions for decades. If youve never been its a definite add to the bucket list
I would personally love if Disney would concentrate the work force on these projects that have been closed for a long time before stretching them thin again. The work in Epcot as been going on far to long especially at the front half of the park. If COVID did anything it proved that spreading the workforce to thin over multiple projects causes major delays.

And C) Maybe Florida locals are feeling the hospitality, but the nicest person I ever met was a gas station employee, and I’ll remember that interaction forever because it was so vastly different from every other experience.

F.Y.I…Tourism to FL is up 48% in last year & 90% of that were to destinations in FL other than Disney. More residents & new business have relocated to both FL & TX, just since 2021, than any other states. In addition, Disney doesn’t have the money to relocate, not even close. They’re in the midst of their worst financial crisis in the company’s history. A combination of the devastating Biden economy & the fact that the last 4 movies Disney put out were miserable failures & a prime example of “Woke=Broke”. In addition, park attendance is down as are hotel & cruise bookings. Their stock took such a dive they’ve dumped/replaced most of their upper exec staff in an attempt to slow the bleeding. Unfortunately, they just had their 3rd round of layoffs with at least 2 more rounds coming up before year’s end. I know it seems like there is a horror story of bad guest behavior every single day, but I visit Disneyland twice a year and Disney World every year or two, and I’ve never had an unpleasant experience. Universally my experiences with both cast members and other guests have been very positive. Pride day was especially nice, it was great to exchange greetings with the other celebrants.

We went to Disneyland years ago and it was wonderful. I am physically challenged (that’s crippled up to us old timers) and have to use a powerchair or a scooter/wheelchair to get around. I was treated (as was my family) as a special guest and made to feel that I mattered. When we went to Orlando, we were a ticket/number/ body who represented $$ and nothing else. I wrote Disney a letter addressed to their entire board suggesting that they quit trying to make everything bigger and better and try finding their roots, their compassion, and there sense of wonder again instead of trying to pay for their bombs at the boxoffice by ticket price increases. The “happiest place on earth” doesn’t exist any longer, it’s just been rechristened as the most expensive place to take your kids. Heck, I had to cash out my 401K just to afford lunch (just kidding, i only used 1/2 of it).

Grew up in these parks. My dream job would be to be an imagineer. As an artist & visitor since 1983, Avatar and splash mountain are the best rides. I would personally love if Disney would concentrate the work force on these projects that have been closed for a long time before stretching them thin again. The work in Epcot as been going on far to long especially at the front half of the park. If COVID did anything it proved that spreading the workforce to thin over multiple projects causes major delays.

A) Disney wouldn’t waste all the money in remodeling rides if they were planning to uproot them
B) They could very easily open another park or resort in another state (NC and TX have both extended invitations) and bring thousands of jobs and revenue in
And C) Maybe Florida locals are feeling the hospitality, but the nicest person I ever met was a gas station employee, and I’ll remember that interaction forever because it was so vastly different from every other experience.
