Can we start a fundraiser for this family to recoup their money and plan another trip to Disney? Maybe through the newspaper?

This story makes no sense. Do people routinely drive around wirh thousands of dollars and all the family’s passports in a bag in the car a month before a trip? Sounds super risky.

Total waste of time to read. Has absolutely nothing to do with WDW. Just a sad story.

This article has nothing to do with WDW and seems slanderous. The author would have you believe through title and illustration that Disney is somehow responsible for the misfortune that befell a family preparing for an American vacation. Seems like you could have used photos and references from the airline they were flying so that we could blame them, too.

DISNEY SHOULD REFUND THE MONEY THEY SPENT DOWN HERE FOR ROOM OR TICKETS

What a waste of time. Story has nothing to do with Disney. Quit posting these stories and wasting our time.

Sorry but the poster who said it seemed weird for people to be driving around with cash and passports a month before their trip was absolutely right. Something fishy here. I’m all for fund raising for sad situations, but something is off on this one. More proof please.

Maybe they like to only use cash. Maybe they had just withdrawn the cash for the trip. Either way it really isn’t a Disney issue.

    Fake story.

This is not tragic. A tragedy is when a tornado hits and kills everyone in town. This is sad( if it’s true) but please stop the dramatic language. And agree, this story has no useful purpose.

We had just gotten to Disney the day before… we awoke to an early morning phone call from our neighbors that our house had been robbed in the night…
We didn’t know where our cats were… with the help of Disney, we got flights home that very morning, canceling the majority of our trip. Tickets were wasted, but they refunded the remainder of the resort stay, I didn’t even need to ask. They were kind and Compassionate.

  10. What, exactly, did this have to do with Disney, other than being the final destination??? There was no “tragedy” at Disney World and Disney shouldn’t even have been mentioned in this story !
