carry on rides everything you can……..Never leave anything behind that is valuable, ……you have no idea how often we see backpacks in strollers, people coming to them and pulling out a wallet or anything. Cant say anything because we dont know w ho the backpack in a stroller belongs too. Anyone leaves anything important and it gets stolen, you probably wont get it back. Most rides and attractions let you take a back pack on them
Unfortunately, this is the family’s fault. It is their responsibility to watch their personal belongings extremely closely! This INCLUDES merchandise purchased at the gift shops or anything else custom built at the stores. A wise suggestion would be to return to the hotel temporarily and put their items in their locked hotel room. If the hotel is too far away and too much of a commute, the the family should rent a storage locker for the day.
This is in no way the families or Disney’s fault. It’s the fault of the people that took something that didn’t belong to them. Unfortunately there is no place safe from scum.
Strange, but I agree with both of you – it is not the family ‘s fault someone stole from them but it is their responsibility to secure their belongings. I am constantly in awe at the Parks when I pass by a stroller parking area and see the strollers loaded with stuff- backpacks, cups, popcorn buckets, shopping bags, etc. No way would I leave stuff like that there- how is a CM, assuming there is one close by, to monitor every stroller? It is not like a coat check where you are handed your stroller, it is a free-for-all.
I am not a good soul: and I never have, but I CONSTANTLY have to remind myself not to take anything from all of the parked strollers at Disney. Some people really use them as a storage container during their day, and leave purses and bags open and unzipped with wallets there for the taking. I understand it is frustrating when your stuff gets taken, but I’m honestly surprised it doesn’t happen 1000% more than is actually ever reported with the thousands and thousands of guests to each park daily.

Actually, if they had their receipts, Disney would replace them.

With what it costs to go to these parks you wouldn’t think lowlifes would be stealing from other guests.
Mo
That’s probably WHY they steal from others, because everything is so expensive!

Yes, my 2002 Utah Olympics Jacket was taken off my wheel chair. We don’t trust people at Disneyland and take precautions.
