Luke – way to spin a good yarn. DeSantis didn’t announce the building of prison next to the park, he “speculated” on a number of things from a state park to maybe even a prison. After seeing the triggering this speculation has caused a prison might be the right choice after all especially if it chases away the woke from visiting Disney World.
First of all, Disney made a big mistake ever supporting any of the Republicans innFlorida. They should immediately withdraw any financial support…then see how many votes the GOP can buy with no money! Second, Disney should close WDW for a period of time…maybe a whole year. It would serve two purposes. One, it would show Florida how much it stands to lose if it alienated Disney too much. No tourist…no tax money. Also, how many businesses would no longer exist? Second, it would give the company time to make all the repairs and improvements it needs to make. Or maybe think of moving to another state….a northern one! (Remember, Paris gets snow and they deal with it!). Thirdly I live in a northern New England city that has both a Federal Prison and a State Prison. We have a very low crime rate… e have an over abundance of law enforcement….Corrections Officers are considered law enforcement and Officers of the Court!! I would have no problem going to WDW (if I ever go to Florida again) with a prison next door!
