Well it is a self inflected wound they did it to them selves. Putting in a CEO who did not do what Walt and Roy would have approved of. Putting a trip for a family to Disney out of reach with out going deep in debt. Having certain groups to have influence on some methods in Disney and got Disney involved in politics where they had no busn. being in. IF and I mean IF Iger can turn around Disney he needs people around him who think like Walt, Roy and Lillian Walt’s Wife to balance things out then maybe and I mean maybe things can turn around and Disney will be back like Disney of OLD!!!

Why do Disney think it’s acceptable to only sell 7 or 14 day park tickets in the UK? Not everyone wants to spend their entire holiday at one resort. Wasted so much money when all I wanted was 2 days at Walt Disney World. So unless you’re tech savvy and can book outside the UK or wait until you get to the USA and get on the US site but your park mite be sold out by that point. They need to change this. I also found the Disney app far to complicate to use and had to queue at a booth at one of parks just pick up our tickets. We live in a digital age so tickets should be made available on the app. I would say both Disney and Universal need to invest in better fast food, hot dogs with chilli and cheese? Ever heard of a burger and fries or pizza at these food outlets-cheap produced food at expensive prices. I can see Universal by 2025-that’s when Epic World opens, over taking Disney .

Honestly Disney treats their passholders like garbage compared to universal. There is more reason to more frequently visit because of the offerings to locals and Disney just has Walmart vibes now. There are empty buildings everywhere, over flowing garbage cans, stressed out staff and broken promises of new attractions.

  5. Our family has made the switch. We have a condo 2 miles from WDW but dropped our annual passes there for Universal Studios due to these issues, the deferred maintenance at WDW, the blackout dates for WDW passes, as well as for their wokeness.

      Hope you are doing good?

I’m no longer an AP holder at WDW, but I am at Universal. Turns out that, after I retired, first came the pandemic and then came the impossibly high AP prices, hotel prices, and a million hoops you have to jump through to go to a Disney park. Not to mention having to be glued to your phone the entire time. Instead, I can go to Universal for a fraction of the cost of the same number of days at any Disney hotel. Heck, I can even go on a 10-day cruise for less than I would pay for a week at WDW. I just did exactly that!

We just came back from one week in Orlando where we did 3 days in Universal and 2 in Disney. The quality and enjoyment of the experience at Universal parks was way better than Disney.
In Universal we got 2 free days with our 3 day park tickets. This allowed us to spend an extra half day in Universal parks on the day we arrived.
We stayed in a premium resort to get the express pass and we were able to do the parks stress free at a nice pace. In Magic Kingdom even after buying Genie + there were many rides we didn’t get to do. And we were having to walk from one end of the park to the other multiple times, it was exhausting.

NBC is more liberal than Disney, please keep giving them more money.

Disney is way to stressful. I want to go to a park to have fun, and all the meticulous planning at Disney makes it impossible to relax and have fun. You couldn’t pay me to plan a Disney vacation.

I have always been a fan of Disney but the Genie+ system ruined it for me. Our last trip was so stressful – having to wake up and be on your phone from 7am onwards and still not getting the rides you want. We ended up forgoing one our Disney days for an extra Universal day. We will be coming back in December and for the first time will not be stepping foot in a Disney park but instead doing 5 days at Universal.

Imagine how much MORE business Univ could take away from Disney if Univ went to Disney’s old PAPER fast passes that could only be acquired the day you were at each of their parks. You could put away your smart phone for the whole day! IMO, Steve Jobs ruined everything at Disney with his invention.
