When Universal first opened the attraction they only had to check each restraint once, but from a video about two months ago I learned that they changed the requirement and they had to check each restraint twice, so I guess now they are going bacj to how they originally did it with only checking each restraint once. The video was from El ToroRyan and he explains how the change effected dispatch times.
This is not a good thing. I was just there with my daughters a month ago and on the second check the attendant caught that my 10 year olds (who is very thin) harness was loose. She even said out loud “I’m so glad I double checked that” to which I replied “me too!”. I had nightmares about her little body flying out of that thing on the big drop afterwards

I just rode on Saturday and had two attendants check my lap bar!
