God please help everyone on this post! This is what is wrong with our world so much hatred and mean words! Mickey and Minnie are beside themselves! Lol
My granddaughter just returned from a high school choir trip to Disney World. It cost $2208, including the trip insurance. That was for round-trip airfare, 4 nights accommodation at a NICE hotel about a mile or so outside the park, 4 parks…plus Disney Springs, 1 group meal & transportation. Not a bad price at all! There were so many horror stories about 4/5 hour ride lines. The longest she had to wait was 2 hours 45 minutes for Rise of the Resistance, with the rest being well under an hour. She’s waited 3 hours many times for rides at Silver Dollar City! 2 days she rode 6 rides each day! Don’t believe everything you read on the jnternet. She saw no fights, no cutsies in lines, very clean park & the characters were so nice! She asked ‘Tiana’ if she would record a hello video for her bestie & she was more than happy to! It was busy, but not like you would think for Spring Break. She ate for under $15 per meal! One of her friends(they were required to stay in groups of at least 4)paid for their(4)meals twice. 1 was a buffet for $45 each. That was the most expensive meal she had. We sent $585 on her debit card & she came back with $255. She watches what she spends anyway, but she spent money on what she wanted & even brought gifts back! I think if you get a package that includes a resort hotel, I think it’s way cheaper. We are thinking about taking her back & also, going on a Disney Cruise when she graduates in ’26! It wasn’t as expensive as I thought it would be.
For my family of four in 2021 we spent about $4000 with air fare and dining passes for each of us. We also were able to fast pass a lot of the lines and hardly wait at all. The experience was magical and my kids will never forget it. They can’t wait to go back.
WALT Disney is turning over in his grave. He didn’t want his Kingdom to become a place of greed. He wanted it to be a family friendly affordable place. That was his very words. But his family has become the very elite ILLUMINATI THAT THEY ARE TODAY..ALL THEY SIGNS ARE THERE,BUT ARE IGNORED.SO THE MAGIC DIED OUT ALONG TIME AGO..
Todd, I love how your post went to screaming as you mentioned ILLUMINATI!!! Is that where you lost control of your mind and the voices in your head took over?
Disney is only affordable if you are a Florida resident. Annual pass ticket with weekend and holiday blackout (free parking) about 399/person. Pack your own food and drinks. We got gifted gift cards by my parents so we can buy the kids a few souvenirs. Happy to say we haven’t paid those greedy bastards an extra penny. As a former college program cast member, I love the parks but seriously. Bring back Michael eisner.
We work 6 days a week. We plan our meals. We have everything that we need. But, we NEED to go to our favorite place. If it costs more( eggs are 6.99 for a dozen) that doesn’t matter. We go at least once a year. The cabins at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. We stay an extra few days to enjoy bbq-ing swimming and fishing. But, it is only 2 of us. I couldn’t imagine how people with children do it. We get to feel like kids again!
Well good for you Roger. You’ve made the point multiple times that you and your family go every year. That’s great. Some people simply can’t afford to do that.
Maybe you could try and show just a little compassion for others and drop some of the arrogance.
Agree with you Tom. And too many people go into debt just to take their families. It ISN’T worth it anymore!!! Years ago it was clean, staffing was sufficient AND friendly, you could get snacks, drinks & meals anywhere without reservations. Now, you can’t find a drink or snack to save your life! It’s usually dirty everywhere. There’s no where to sit when you’re tired. I have a bad back. No where to rest it. Etc…etc…etc…!
Do you have to buy a regular park ticket and then an after hours ticket? So you are buying twonpark tickets for one person or can you just buy an after hour’s ticket?
Disney in recent years has managed to kill the magic, no longer is yhere a quality feel about the place.
To compound that I agree with others that it’s simply priced itself out of the market , especially to yhose coming from Europe etc. Not only are the ticket prices Eye watering but the ancillary charges ,ie parking ,food and drinks make it a never return holiday. What a crying shame.
These are ‘plug in’ photos that Disney keeps in their archives. Shots taken moments before the park opens or for the ‘deserted’ pictures, taken at 3 am when no one is there.
Of course Disney tickets are expensive. It is a costly place to operate. The architecture, infrastructure, landscaping, and impeccable maintenance. Not to mention there isn’t so much as a mosquito–in the middle of Florida. You make sacrifices to save up for vacation. That’s what makes it special. Otherwise stay home and take a hard look at your life choices.
I never would have imagined that Disney would eventually attract the biggest jerks in the world. Seriously, you grumpy bastards shooukd just stay away.
Its just not worth the price anymore!!! The crowds the rude hateful people, the long lines everywhere. Too many other cheaper vacations to do here in the u.s. like hiking, camping etc. For a quarter of the price!!!!
Of course the photos show WDW is empty. It was taken after hours.
I am at WDW almost every month and the place is still packed with people. The story posted is a fragmentation of reality.
Place is a has-been, was last big with repeat visits with baby boomers, but they also are growing out of it. All these years they never upgraded. Same rides, just change the name and graphics. BORING!!
We went to a Magic Kingdom After Hours event a couple weeks ago. Yes, the price was high but we tried it out and I have to say it was worth it. The longest we waited to ride anything was 15 minutes. I would do it again without a doubt
I’m a dvc member and it still cost me a small fortune to stay at my home resort when I can get in .Disney has done nothing to improve the place rides break down lines are longer rides are filthy and now they want to lay off people.its all about the profits so no wonder people aren’t going
We went the last few days of January through February 3, which is usually a fairly good time to go – low crowds – and it was packed! I could hardly believe it! Then with that new “pay for your fast pass” racket they have…I was so disappointed with our trip. We probably averaged 1 or 2 rides a day…we were there for a week. Yes, we will try again – at my age I don’t have many Disney vacation times left – but we might just stick to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. And I definitely won’t blow money on one of their better resorts! This time I’ll be sticking with the Value Resorts.
I don’t understand why people bring children to Dusney. Read the news. Since 2009 to now, with two major operation by the county where Disney, Disney employees were found doing children trafficking and sex trafficking. Tgey been to be closed. Read the news fir 2021 and 2022 Disney employees found guilty. Your children are not safe there. Governor Desantis need to put his foot down with company.
For all of the griping about prices, it sure doesn’t seem to affect the crowds. I wouldn’t care if they tripled prices if it meant you didn’t have to be jammed in everywhere elbows to elbows, dodging strollers, and actual tables available in restaurants.
I’m with you Wade! If you have to complain that it’s getting too expensive for your family to go, take your family camping and let the ones that can afford the parks to enjoy them without all of the coupon crowd eating snacks out of sandwich bags and staying 12 to a room at a nearby Comfort Inn!
This is one of the best comments I have read on here. Instead of complaining about stuff, maybe make better decisions in life to get ahead. I’d say about 90% of people should go back to school and take some basic economics classes….it isn’t that hard.

Disney would have to PAY ME to go back to their parks. D.World was the worst park experience I’ve ever had with my kids 😢. Disney Land was better, but it’s on the other side of the country- so no, I’ll never be back. I’m pretty sure I’ll never miss it. No more magic at Disney. I’m an annual pass holder and have been one for years to end up going early this month. Everything is overpriced and I’m sick of the “hello friends” crap. What happened to ladies and gentlemen boys and girls? Oh that’s right Disney rather cater to the less than 1 percent for the wokeness and throw away the original family values the parks represented since the beginning. Plus you can tell there’s plenty if not all the employees are from the mental dysforic alphabet community and we all rude and not nice at all to me and my family since I guess we don’t follow their make believe world. I will probably not renew my membership and will not return to any of their parks ever again. They have no sympathy or care to help. Before as long as you were a pass holder or stayed at a Disney resort you had magical hours to stay late at the parks. Now I have to pay extra for that? Screw you disney you guys really suck. I spent $300 for the bibidi experience for my daughter and then got ripped off at the “be our guest” restaurant to pay $600 for 5 people and left hungry plus they took long to seat us and when after I rushed with my son to ride thunder mountain to only be there a few minutes after 10 the employees were rude and stated there was nothing they can do to make our trip magical for my son and I. I hope Disney moves out of Florida and jumps off the edge of the earth. Universal is better.
