Clearly the writer of this article wants Disney to take the trolley even further into the Neighborhood of Make Believe and double down on the policies that have brought them so much success at the box office the last couple years. Why don’t we leave the kids alone. If you want Disney drag content, have fun in the privacy of your own home.

Um, maybe it’s because Ursula’s design was basically an animated version of the drag queen Divine? Ursula has ALWAYS been a drag queen. Now run along and be droll somewhere else.

Truth – don’t know why these agendas keep getting pushed on American families

We love and support the drag and transgender communities. At first I thought making Ursula transgender or a drag queen would work but the more I think about it this role isn’t correct. If this is the first transgender/drag lead role for Disney should it be Ursula, villain of the sea? Nope, let’s get a role with a more positive aspect to match the positive nature of being a drag queen or transgender.

Pat Carroll’s performance in the enormously successful animated version of The Little Mermaid was phenomenal. Her voice portrayal was appropriately haunting, chilling, and delightfully sinister – perfect for a Disney villain. The trailer for the new live action version gives us a preview of McCarthy sounding eerily similar, with the familiar cackling laughter. I anticipate her performance will not disappoint. Wait, why are we concerned about the actor’s sexual orientation again? Because we shouldn’t give the part to the best performers?

Holy crap just stop forcing drag queens and wokeness down normal people’s throats. Why do they need to ruin things even more with tranny’s? It’s bad enough they cater to everyone else on the left and woke. What is wrong with this country?

Ursula’s design was based off the Drag Queen Divine. Ursula has ALWAYS been a drag queen.
To quote the lady herself… “You’re too late 😂😂😂😂”

There better not be any drag queens or anything having to do with sex aimed at little ones on Disney movies or in the Parks themselves. That garbage has no place at all in Disney!!! UNDERSTOOD

You know I do think that it could work. I mean I doubt you would lose any more possible viewers as the crowd refusing to see it because they Cast a person of color will likly overlap near fully with those who don’t like LGTBQ+ representation might as well go all the way on my opinion.

Be careful. Disney is suffering as it is. Doing something like that would have lasting consequences at their theme parks. I am a regular there, attendance is way down compared to previous years. Oddly, Universal is packed.

You people have all lost you minds.

Aspects of Ursulas appearance was INSPIRED by a drag queen not based on. The role was written with a specific woman in mind and was always intended to be a woman played by a woman. There are few enough strong female roles as it is without giving the ones there are to men. They already made the fairy godmother a drag queen. I’m sick of this modern representation and “equality” seeming to just be the erasure of women that dont conform to pretty stereotypes.

I wish the “woke” Disney people would just go back to sleep. Why is this even an issue. If they want inclusivity, then just write new stuff instead of ruining the classics.

That crap doesn’t belong in movies Disney stop pushing that stuff to young kids and go back to making movies like we grew up with

  11. Joe

No! Absolutely not, that is inappropriate for children. Stop this disgusting crap.

  12. Taylor

A better option would be to not make this movie so dark and dreary, to stop race swapping and to create movies for families.

Disney has lost its way. The box office tells the rest of the story.
