I know Disney tries to keep Security out of the limelight, but there need to be rapid consequences for guests who do this kind of thing. CMs are underpaid as it is; they don’t need to be assaulted by entitled jerks on top of that.
My daughter was a character performer and had a few rough injuries at WDW. One rushing child stepped on her foot pushing her backwards dislocated her foot/ankle.
She was groped on the regular, had her head shoved back from a child, which injured her neck, broke her nose etc. The managers were quick to give care to the character performers and also fast to escort the perpetrators out of the park or threaten the parents to Lee their kid in check or they’ll be asked to leave Disney.
Once when working Fantasmic she told someone in the seating area they couldn’t sit in handicapped area and the man (from another country) slapped her across th face. Again they were swiftly escorted out of the park and most likely their visa to the USA.
