  1. Pedantic obfuscation disambiguates naught. If a delay in the release date means they are making improvements to the movie, that’s fine.

    1. Trey long

Brie is great. Great in the role.

      1. Pete

Release it already we have been waiting just because you feel it’s not interesting. We have been waiting for the big ones and antman and the wasp- who cares what rotten tomatoes thinks!!!! We enjoy what hell we enjoy. Every movie I enjoyed has had terrible ratings I think it makes me like it even more haja

    2. CFGodwell

The Incels at ITM have been celebrating each and every cut or scratch seemingly done to Brie Larson. They hate a woman that sticks up for women and who asks for equal pay.

      1. Andre

said by someone who cannot actually define what a woman is.

        1. Cell Kl

Said by someone who almost certainly huffs their own exhaust fumes

          1. Rockwell

Said by someone that has to look up what the word misandry means.

      2. LegoGuru2000

Brace yourself. It’s illegal to pay women less than men for the same job. The wage gap is a myth debunked not only by men but even by a feminist professor who also believed it until she looked into it.

    3. Orlando

That sucks my son and I been waiting for this movie snd Ms Matvels major roll Ms Kamela Khan! If Marvel keeps teasing it’s fans with long yearly waits for major characters then delays you may find fans turn and become disinterested signing off to the Marvel Universe.

      1. Todd Hudson

That is already happening without the delays because their movies haven’t been good lately. Thor love and thunder god awful, new dr strange not good, new antman just ok the one thing most had in common special effects were god awful terrible. Disney should delay especially if its for special effects needing done better

        1. Vivi

I must painfully agree with you in that sense. Us fans are not suffering from “Marvel fatigue”, it’s the awful (*cough cough TL&T) storylines and confusing timelines that are bringing down this goliath, PLUS it’s constant push on diversity (where it doesn’t need to be) and female empowerment (where, again, doesn’t need to be). The only reason I want to see The Marvels is because of Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, I could REALLY do without Carol Danvers a.k.a Brie Larson in the movie. But the constant release date push backs are getting ridiculous. The only thing they will accomplish at this point is another Black Widow mess. If they can’t handle the load of movies on their slate to be released then they shouldn’t be announcing ANYTHING new until they catch up. At this point I’d rather NOT know what’s coming up, then to have them announce every 6 months they’re pushing back yet another movie(s).

    4. Bilbert

Why?! She’s Pretty fairlyhot and ok! More than ok! I thought the way she portrayed CM was awsome! Lol I’m also a heteromale so I’m biased!🤣

  2. Chris S

I think people are reading way too much into it. Brie is marvelous and any hate she gets is from sad straight men with no balls.

    1. Dan

Don’t ride too high friend you may just fall off that horse.

      1. Leticia Dutschmann

I was hoping to see Park Seo Joon in July!!!! Now I have to wait till November!!!!!! Why Disney?

        1. Ryan

Of course Captain Marvel did well. They dropped it in theaters right before End Game. Most people assumed it was required viewing before seeing the final Infinity Saga film. From what I understand, it wasn’t even connected at all. So I figure it got a massive boost in viewership because of it’s placement between two of the biggest MCU movies ever produced. I’ve always wondered how it would have done if it were released after End Game. I suspect it wouldn’t have as well.

          1. Randall

EXACTLY. People thought it was a timeline necessity. Turns out,…not so much. Just Captain Marvel introduction.

          2. ViviVivi

My thoughts exactly!! That movie was terribly boring and Brie’s acting was even worse. I for one, saw it only for the reasons you mentioned AND because my favorite SHIELD agent and Fury were on it, if not for them, and that, I could’ve done without that shit show.

    2. Julian H

Oh please spare me you cr@p Chris S

      1. CFGodwell

He an Incel. I can tell.

    3. Mike

That comment doesn’t even make sense so go back to the drawing board moron.

      1. Jay

Stop dancing around it! Has nothing to do with fatigue and everything to do with Marvel being too woke and no longer attempting to please their audience. I’m not going to the movies to find myself in church.

        1. VJ

Say WHAT?!?! What do you people even mean by being “woke”??

          1. John

Let’s start with all movies promoting man hating and pointing out to certain sections of society being victims all the time?

          2. Rich

Amen. It means nothing anymore just state what you actually have a problem with.

          3. Vivi

Lmao I think “you people” know EXACTLY what he means. And I agree!

        2. Andre

wokeness drove me away from Marvel. I used to see every movie at least TWICE in the theater. Now, I don’t watch them at all. The stories stink, the actors stink and there’s no HEART

          1. Cell Kl

            Define wokeness.

      2. Natalia

I hate her as Captain Marvel. I simply can’t stand her in marvel movies. No chemistry between her and rest of the team.Acting like she had a stick stuck up in her ***.It’s gonna be a flop either way,no matter when it’s gonna be released.

        1. Ron

Chris S. This blows your theory

          1. Steve

No, fans are not mixed on Ant Man 3. It has an 84% score with the audience. Critics are at 47%. But way to muddy that up.

        2. Veronica

She IS awful. I can’t think of another Marvel actor or actress that doesn’t fit their role. I don’t know how she got the job.

        3. Vivi

THANK YOU Natalia and Veronica!!!! Thank God I’m not the only one to think this way haha I think Kevin Feigie or one of the other top execs were high when they decided it would be a good idea to make Brie Larson, Captain Marvel. She is no good AT ALL! My pinky toe does better acting and has more charisma than she does lmao

    4. Bill

Brie Larson’s acting in Capt. Marvel is the most wooden thing I’ve seen since Portman in the SW prequels. Usually, that’s a sign of really poor directing, but, from other things I’ve seen from her, I’m inclined to say that they did the best they could with her.

    5. GSP76

You’ve drank a little too much of that coolaid

    6. Larry Mischovoch

      She’s gay?

      1. Greg

Looking at regular TV and commercials, you would think all Americans are gay or transgender nowadays

        1. Michael Lofton

          Indeed.

    7. Douglas Black

I’m arrow straight with huge balls. Brie Larson is a talentless hack with a lousy attitude. Disney is ruining MCU & Star wars. The Parks are hemroging money, Disney + is loosing subscribers. I’m looking forward to the demise of all things “woke”…

      1. Vivi

The moment I heard Disney had acquired Marvel Studios, I knew it would ruin the franchise but I still had hope. Now after Endgame, I think my fears for Marvel Studios might be coming true. Disney should have kept their tentacles away from all things Marvel :'( Hope Disney’s execs would leave Marvel alone to do what it use to do best and take that whole woke BS with them!

    8. Gab

Ha! Balls we have a plenty the people with no balls are the ones like you; that don’t know how to use them and don’t know how to propagate and also take it in the ass from another guy.

      1. Olli

You’re just as bad as he is, ya twat. Don’t even have the balls to take it up the arse, little scaredy cat.

        1. Cell Kl

    9. I am here

      Careful, your foolishness is showing

    10. Dzddy

Sad straight men. Funny. While this comment is sure to not sway people to your line of thinking it will most likely reinforce their ideas. Everyone, including you, is entitled to an opinion. Keep in mind, sad straight males wether you like it or not are the main target audience for most pictures as they are the main spenders of money when it comes to films of this nature.

    11. Phil

This is such a pathetic stance and reeks of bias, kot sure if its biased for the actress or because you feel some sort of weird need to cater to the PC “Its Still Me Too!” crowd. Brie is great in a lot of movies but Captain Marvel is about as interesting as a dry piece of toast.

Nice try though. Social Justice Warriors everywhere are very proud of you 🤗

    12. Olli

I’m 100% faggot, still hate her, and know plenty of women and other gay guys who do too. Keep your bigotry to yourself.

    13. Brian Levine

So basically, your point is “Agree with my opinion or I get to hurl insults at you.”

Seems to me that you are the problem, pal.

    14. Juan

She still won’t sleep with you, dude.

    15. Nathan

Capt Marvel qas a Bix ticking exercise like love and thunder. It failed as did Ms Marvel which was only slightly better than She Hulk which was awful.
This is Disney cutting its loses and hopefully they will learn from it.
Have Rogue take Capt Marvels powers as she should and be done with her
      And Brie Larson.
Mid range actor more concerned with being heard than with her job

Why go to the movies to watch propaganda when I can turn on CNN?

    1. Mike

Yet- here you are reading and commenting on a Disney newsletter. : /

      1. Giin

You don’t go read, laugh at, and comment on wingnut articles that make little to no sense?

  4. Lucille

If the studio makes improvements to the movie, while I’m pause, that’s great.

I love Brie Larson as Captain Marvel very much. I enjoyed this origin movie very much.

  5. Bob

People do not have Marvel fatigue…people have woke propaganda fatigue. They wanna go to movies to be entertained not to be preached at.

    1. Zurkon

Poor Bob, sees people behaving appropriately and a diverse cast and realizes that doesn’t match his world view so he feels “preached” at. Don’t be like Bob.

      1. Daniel

No people really are sick of it and Abuse of child and being pro child mutilation is NOT ok in any world view

        1. Id10t

That’s cool… so what do Marvel and child abuse have to do with each other again? Go back under your rock.

          1. M

Disney is what has to do with it.

Id10t maybe ur under a rock? Clueless

          2. Norm

Shoot, I think someone confused “M” and “Q” on their keyboard again🫣

          3. Tm

Pre pandemic, Avengers Infinity War and Endgame were Marvel’s top grossing movies for entertainment. Now that the world is trying to get back new normal, politics, fear, me movement and racial tensions govern how we live, and its spilling over into entertainment industry. That was a place we could all escape for a couple hours. Marvel wouldn’t have cast Brie Larson into that role if they didn’t think she fit. I for one am looking forward to it’s release.

      2. Patrick

Typical woke warrior response from Zurkon. Virtue signalling for tolerance and correctness but intolerant of anyone with a different (and more widely held) view. Irony lost on them obviously

      3. The Truth

Should we apologize to people who legitimately hate a terrible character?

    2. Daniel

No one had woke propaganda fatigue. The only fatigue is listening to the propaganda about “wokeness”, its evils, and how everything is woke when they don’t even know what they’re talking about.

      1. Montague Summers

That I can agree with 💯

        1. Rich

          #metoo

    3. Max Norton

No, they have Marvel fatigue. It’s only “woke” in your biased mind. Marvel (and Disney) have released so many Marvel movies, and Marvel shows on Disney+, that the volume of stories and characters has become hard to keep up with, and taking a bit of a break could be exactly what we need. Besides, there will be at least one more Disney+ show (Loki, Season 2) before then.

      1. Yen Sid

I’ll disagree just a little, just cause you’re not right. People are definitely getting tired of being told they suck because they’re not excited about the woke flavour of the week. Both Disney and Discovery Warner are guilty of using “your a bad person for finding fault with this” as a defense, and that is getting exhausting.

  6. Pete

Marvel is burying entire franchise deep. Soon they will become new DCEU. After Endgame there is no movie worth mentioning.

    1. Daniel

I think it’s because Endgame was so epic that it’s been hard to match. Many of the movies since have not been as bad as they’re getting hate for. And we’ve had two excellent Spider-Man movies, a very good Doctor Strange movie, and lots of great Marvel TV.

      1. Andre

Dr. Strange MoM was just so-so, and the Marvel TV shows absolutely terrible.

  7. Daniel

I saw it coming before the announcement. Marvel didn’t have a movie releasing between July and sometime early 2024 (due to Blade being delayed). It didn’t make sense to have 2 movies within a couple of months from each other then nothing for that long. So I had already predicted they would shift The Marvels to that November time slot. It’s simply a logistical matter (which may also benefit giving it more time for post production vfx)

  8. John

I think and it is just my opinion that Captain Marvel and all the Marvel elements are even more woke than normal Disney fair and people are tired of it. Money is tight and most folks just don’t want to listen to this garbage. So the best way to express that is not to spend your money on it.

    1. Max Norton

John, it’s not about wokeness to actual Marvel fans, because true fans know that Marvel has always been socially woke (in the original sense, not this right wing propagandist nonsense). The fact is that Marvel has put out a staggering amount of films and Disney+ series since the first Iron Man movie, and they needed to delay the next movie opening date because it was too close to the third Ant Man movie, which was already close to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The delay was about business, and also to probably work on some last cuts of The Marvels. And if you think the movies are “woke”, you should never read Marvel comics.

      1. Keith Brereton

It is funny that everybody is talking about wokeness and Marvel fatigue and in a way they are both correct but lets just be honest about with ourselves for a moment. First the Ms. Marvel show was garbage and they couldn’t put out a standalone movie of the character that would profit so they includes Captain Marvel to add to the appeal. Second the writing for the Marvel movies and shows have been absolute crap for the exception of Wanda Vision and Loki. Ever since Marvel lost Robert Downey and the Russo Brothers they don’t have the talent to continue keeping up with the standards they set for themselves. To hire writers that are not comic book fans or even ever read a comic was Marvels ultimate demise. Case in point the She Hulk series. If you want to save the MCU then you are gonna need to get better writers and start sticking more to source material of the characters. This is what made all the previous phases so appealing. So please stop kidding yourself by say that the show were good on Disney plus they were bad, Netflix did the show better and stop trying to convince yourself that any other movie from here on is gonna get better. That is not gonna happen until Kevin feige is gone and they get some better to take the helm.

        1. Lolol

No, what’s funny is you calling out writers for not reading comics. Then using she hulk as an example. A character that’s pretty god damn comic accurate. AND claiming the only reason they added captain marvel to ms marvel was to appeal to people. What? You’re 100% less versed in comic lore than the people you’re blaming.

        2. Tuffdude

She-Hulk was pretty comic accurate, though and the Ms. Marvel show was decent. Kevin Feige is a comic fan and a lot of the issues from Phase 4 were from the last CEO making them put out a lot to promote Disney Plus. They literally just announced they are slowing down to give the projects more time.

      2. Kina

That’s the problem! Most people that complain so much about this stuff have never read a real comic book in their life. X-Men comics are all about acceptance of people’s differences and treating everyone equally with respect and kindness. That’s why their opinions are garbage to me. Marvel fans who actually read comics know their spewing nothing but nonsense. The sad thing is some people making marvel movies actually listen to them instead of actual comic book fans.

        1. Andre

I’ve read comics since 1968. I owned 60,000 comics at one point. If that’s your “criteria ” for opinions then consider yourself severely outranked. Everything after Endgame has been utter trash! Exceptions: Dr. Strange MoM was so-so and Loki, Spider-Man No Way home were great.

          1. Rich

I have been reading comics since 65 and have over 70k comics including Amazing Adult Fantasy #15, therefore my opinion is greater than yours.

  9. Christopher Owen

You… just said that Wakanda Forever was a big hit. It was a November release. This seems to be about spreading them out, not burying.

  10. Chris Cha

A bad Rotten Tomatoes score is a plus for me. Quantumania was a very enjoyable movie. Nice setup for Kang.

  11. Legion

I’m offended by everyone being offended cause of offending views that offend the offended.

    1. Gary

I agree… Plus, I’m afraid one of the characters may not look or think exactly like me. What if they are attracted to someone in a way that I am not attracted to someone (or, at least won’t admit I am)? I’m a ditto-head for a reason! I can’t handle change/innuendo/understanding/humility/other words I’m not sure how to define.

  12. Ruben

I didn’t like the first Captain Marvel movie too much. They should’ve set it up with Marvell being the first Captain Marvel and introduced Carol Danvers in the second movie. Kind of how they’ve waited so long to introduce Adam Warlock. I hope they fix a lot with this new Marvels movie because I actually am looking forward to watching it. Also, the MCU won’t ever be the same because they went and f’d up by killing off 2 of the biggest characters for no good reason in Endagame. And to add, I liked Quantamania way more than Wakanda Forever.

    1. Bill

Captain Marvel relied far too much on 90s nostalgia (which doesn’t really exist, the same way 80s nostalgia does). Then, they went and sent Brie Larson around to talk about all the girl-power in the movie, but not about the actual story.

  13. Chris

    Get woke go broke

    1. Jethro

Damn tootin. I want to stay sleepin like my pappy before me, my grandpappy before him and my great granpappy (who was named Pappy) before him. I ain’t wakin for nothin.

    2. Miss Henderson

Yay everybody, little Chrissy learned to rhyme! Who’s a good boy? Who is? Tomorrow we’ll work on tying your shoes, and soon you’ll work your way up to an independent thought of your own. Yay Chrissy! You get a gold star for the day. Go pick one out off of my desk. No, Chrissy, the star. It’s the one with the five little points. No, Chrissy, five. Like your fingers. Hold up your fingers. Now take the gold sticker that has the same number of points as the fingers and thumb on your hand. You did it! We believe in you Chrissy! I think the 32nd times the charm. You’ll pass kindergarten, just you wait and see!

  14. Me

From someone who works in the industry, the movie will come out. Marvel does not have the track record as D.C. No one cares about Rotten Tomotoes scores. It’s all about the money and that is really it when it comes down to it.

  15. Oh my goodness all you ankle bitters are awful! Why gripe with each other??? Goodness people can’t even get a long on article thread! This article is bogus ya’ll – sheesh talk about propaganda??? That’s what this is and look what’s it’s doing to you all!
The REAL REASON Captain Marvel movie is being pushed back is because there was a shift change in corporate CEOs and new budget cuts , same reason nit many new Marvel TV shows will be coming out this year, probably just Loki.
Man, you want to know about Marvel stuff go listen to the REAL news on it @ New Rockstars or EricEvoss and Deep Dive!
    Jeez – take a breather ya’ll

  16. J

They had 4 movies coming out this year originally. Then Blade got pushed. I think they are only having The Marvels in the fall so they have something for the Fall. If they had 3 movies come out almost back to back to back it would annoy people who are getting fatigue. Space it out. We still got at least 3 Marvel tv shows coming to Disney Plus

  17. Oh my goodness all you ankle bitters are awful! Why gripe with each other??? Goodness people can’t even get a long on article thread! This article is bogus ya’ll – sheesh talk about propaganda??? That’s what this is and look what’s it’s doing to you all!

  18. Faye

They can cancel it and her involvement in Avengers @as far as I am concerned. She and her acting as a superhero are lame.

  19. Faye

They can cancel the movie and her being an avenger as far as I’m concerned. She and her actng as a superhero are lame.

  20. Woke go broke

Stop saying BP 2…it was abject failure that barely broke even at the box office…and the fall off after week 1 of almost 70%…it was woke joke of yes queen bs and bad writing and cucking all men…as bad if not worse than thor love and thunder or ww 2…

  21. Douglas Black

People are NOT “fatigued” with MCU. If a movie us good, people (for the most part) will watch it. I am a comic book fan since about 1967. I was extatic when Captain America was released. That was then…. Let’s face it. In the past 5 years MCU, Star wars, and a couple of other things have been ruined by activism, woke ideology and notions of doing things other than making great entertainment. I dropped my Disney + subscription, I have not watched the latest releases from MCU. After G.o.t.G. vol.3 I will bid farewell to everything Disney….

  22. Ant Zee

Marvel fatigue due to lack luster stories, characters, and woke agendas. Once the focus is on elements which make great movies, regardless, of timing, people will come “pay” the absorbent movie theater experience. Rather than wait for streaming, covid safe, home entertainment. Marvels is more set for Disney+ because of less appeal. Now, the Avengers Secret Invasion & War movies have the making of an epic story and Marvel’s “heavy hitters” characters.

  23. Bardo

No, as hard as it is for you to admit, it’s definitely all this “wokeness” that is definitely crashing on the MCU’s bottom line. Comic fans and movie goers do not like being preached to while looking for entertainment. The next Guardians of the Universe will be a hit, and if either Planet Hulk or World War Hulk ever come out they will be huge hits. All Disney needs to do is cease with the propaganda and concentrate on the storyline.

  24. Alfredo

People are tired of the m she u. And the emasculated male heros.

  25. Kilo

I keep hearing the usage of “super hero fatigue,” but that’s a cover. People want to see GOOD super hero movies.

What it really is, is a combination of mediocre writing, campy presentation, lower quality CGI, and of course, getting knocked over the head with identity politics.

  26. Kim

I don’t have marvel fatigue, I juat got spoiled streaming movies, I’d rather wait for it to end up on disney+ and watch it at home. Just watched wakanda forever a few weeks ago, I’ll wait for ant man too.

  27. Ange

Not interested in seeing the movie anyway.

  28. Drew

Woke not woke don’t really care there has been times through out history when a comic has made statements on the plight of its Era. It just seems like there has been an over saturation as of late that being said the film itself was not horribly bad, nor good either. Not intirely sure if her performance was one of her choosing or a directed one either way was stoic and wooden in the first film. But she isn’t the only one Thor love and thunder felt like comedic over dose. And Disney Marvel has just seemed to meander further and further away from great story telling for agenda topics and political theater. Not that those ideals should be excluded out right from film or even marvel movies but when you go see a action, drama, comedy, or any genre film crafting the story or plot must take president. And marvel has been guilty as of late of lazy writing and at times plothole filled stories even time discrepancies. Or in layman’s terms DROPPING the BALL!!!

  29. Andy

Always the agenda .trying to gaslight people. Majority of phase 4 and 5 have been pushed backed 1 slot , The Marvel’s took the Blade slot because it was delayed. But we get how you incels hate Brie , you did your best to talk on circles about how the first movie failed, then how Disney where buying seats .
    But push you conspiracy theories.

As for this marvel fatigue, who are you talking about. We have just finished act 1 of the multiverse saga. Act 2 is the ramp up . The only people with fatigue aren’t fans , they are people who jump on the infinity war bandwagon. They are people who repeat want they hear online . Like some cliché phrase.
The idea that 3 movies a year and 3 miniseries is some how fatigue amount in between the hundreds of hours of other content each year . See they don’t get that comic book fans read multiple comics every month

  30. John

Get woke, go broke. She’s completely un marketable to anyone except the alphabet people. Throw this film in the trash.

    1. TheseTroglodites

That’s right, if there’s one thing I hate, it’s the alphabet. My kids ain’t gonna learn no letters!

  31. Darren

The start of this article sounds as if wakanda forever was a great movie and everyone hated quantumania, and while quantumania may not be glory days marvel standard fact is wakanda forever was trash and so much so it would effect people going to see the next movie quantumania, I remember sitting in the cinema for wakanda forever constantly checking the time wishing it would just finish, quantumania had some of that but significantly less, bottom line wakanda forever is the issue not quantumania

  32. Tee Bone

It’s not Marvel Fatigue! It’s the constant propaganda being shoved down everyone’s throat. Also, the new Ant-Man is not profitable! It actually may not even break even. If they would just stop trying to promote all the woke bs and make entertaining movies, we’d stop waiting for the bootleg copy and internet releases and actually go to a theater and watch. Maybe stop lying for them so they really understand why we can’t stand the thing they’re murdering with each new release. P.S. This Larson lady, she’s the worst offender of them all! She’s a nutcase!

  33. I think it’s horrible

  34. Greg Riva

Great film thought Brie Larson was excellent disappoint the release of Captain Marvel 2 has been put back. And the character doesn’t need to be a ‘person of colour’ just pandering to the woke brigade. Celebrate the strong woman

There not tho…. go write about something that’s actually happening.

  36. Mike

Um. Wakanda forever was not a “major hit”, it made 500MM less than the first one on a much larger budget. It in fact probably just barely broke even and quanumania is set to lose 100M +.

It’s strange how you resort to insults to the intended audience of comics which is quite indicative of the problem. It’s not about the acting or editing. It’s about the writing. It’s about how the primary audience of comics is boys and young men yet this constant portrayal of women as superior and perfect in every way – stronger, smarter, perfect, no training required, while the men are viewed as not necessary, bumbling, in need of mommying, the cause of every problem, etc. When has there been a boy chracter portrayed? For that matter they completely removed any semblance of a black male hero in a movie about a black male superhero. How do you think this constant portrayal is being received by the very boys who read comics and the men who read them growing up? Of course you don’t care as the only concern is furthering an agenda which has swung well past equality and to the other extreme. No wonder males are checking out of this society much to its detriment. Even the Brookings Institute sees this an issue. The fall of the MCU is ironically very symbolic of that. Call names and throw insults all you like it still doesn’t change the facts or force people to the theaters to watch something they don’t want to see

We like Brie she’s the right Captain .

  39. Len

The captain marvel movie wasn’t good. Despite Sam Jackson, Brie seems unable to fill the shoes of a superhero. As good as she was in “Room” playing s depressed person, portraying a superhero requires you to behave heroically. You must also be likable. I can’t think of a single moment from Captain Marvel where Brie seemed likable. If anything, projected a person who felt that she was above the role.

It’s all about dollars and cents to Disney and where they are going to need a filler throughout the year. It’s unfortunate that it will miss the summer officebox opportunity. To me it’s purely entertainment, and it’s unfortunate unfortunate that actors can lose out on income because of a decision made by the financial institutions of Disney. DC Comics will probably be picking up the slack. Not to mention the next Dune will be hitting the Box-office is September as well. Surprisingly enough we will have some good entertainment hitting the silver screen this year for all to enjoy. I would just hate to see Captain Marvel get pushed back to the point of no return that would be sad.

  41. Michael

I wish Disney would have stayed away from Marvel
Altogether. Since they have taken over it has been all down hill.

  42. Anders F

I would bet this has a lot more to do with VFX backlog than anything else. Also if MCU is planning on slowing down it’s output, it makes more sense to spread out already finished releases to keep MCU relevant in the zeitgeist. Disney is a giant corporation, if you think any of the decisions made about anything are about anything but money, I think you need to re-examine your thought process.

  43. Harlan

She is great. Forget this delay. I want to see the next captain marvel movie right now. She and the movie are my favorites!

  44. Mike Young

None of us have “marvel fatigue”. Just lay off the woke stuff, use the myriad comics for material, and do what made the franchise so big in the first place. Ask yourself “what would Stan Lee think about this”.

  45. Paully

    She’s an unlikable person..
She actually hurts the Disney Marvel brand..

  46. This article title is borderline criminal for its assumptions. You make it sound like they scrap the movie when they are clearly making reshoots and improvements. I would not call this “burying”.

  47. Andysuth

    The problem is cross overs.

Any long running series that has spun offs and does more than a fleeting cameo make the viewer feel compelled to watch the spin offs and main series to a point where the cross overs make sense.

Marvels requires knowledge of Ms Marvel and Wandavision. Many viewers won’t have seen teenage superhero series, or quirky spin off Wandavision.

    This diminishes audiences.

  48. Krod Mandoon

Captain Marvel was some pandering garbage, and End Game was made substantially worse by her presence.

  49. TKN

I’ll be honest, with them changing directions in so many different ways, it’s gotten so confusing, it’s getting hard to keep up with. I’m tired of them killing off good characters. Leaving some on that just don’t seem to have that same energy is so disappointing!! With all the series on Disney+, which I do like some, just stick with movies and keep the good characters and story lines!! Stop with the million different universes!!

  50. LegoGuru2000

Tell us you don’t understand what successful means in movie making without saying that.

Black Panther 2 was NOT a success. You can’t simply subtract the movies budget from box office sales. The marketing cost os typically equal to if not double the movies budget and theaters take a stare of box office tickets. Not only those facts but BP2 failed to match the first VP movie in box office sales. BP2 is a box office disaster for Disney but beverages its about strong black women the media has to call it a success. That however is not how the real world works

  51. John Greives

I think both Marvel & Disney are wrong to boycott Brie Larson in Captain Marvel 2 , as she is a brilliant ACTRESS it goes without saying plus she will make an excellent Director and anyone that says different needs their heads examining

  52. JOHN GREIVES

So now Disney has jumped on the bandwagon to put Brie Larson down , she made you millions yet you treat her like this , you should be thanking her not doing this to her , all I can say is I am very suprised at Disney for doing this to such a Brilliant Actress , I for one will not be watching Disney again , you should be thanking Miss Larson for all the millions you made from her films !
