I’ve seen too many parents forcing their scared children onto thrill rides, resulting in either this (stopping the ride so the poor kid can get off) or a terrified screaming child being stuck on the ride the whole time. Not every kid of ANY age wants to ride thrill rides, and they should never be forced to do so. Kudos to the CM who let this one off before it started. Instead of blaming the kid, blame the mother.
I work at a theme park, and yes, it’s not uncommon to hear parents trying to force their crying, scared child onto a big roller coaster, and belittling them by calling them names for being scared ..
Great way to build your child’s self-esteem and great way to show you support your child and respect their feelings..
I’d be pissed too. This isn’t a young kid-late elementary I’d guess. Both she AND her mom should know that she shouldn’t be on this ride. Really screws it up for everyone.
When I was a kid I was always scared of going upside-down. Now I’ll albeit “foolishly” go on ANY ride!!! But I would never have “stopped” a ride in order to get off!!!
I think employees of any theme parks should ask kids if they want to get on the rides. If the says no they should not them them ride no matter what the parent says.
I have seen people put their young kids on rides that I would never have, rides that resulted in adults freaking out. Their response is always, well he’s Tall enough. Stupid is a stupid does.
I really don’t why some mums and dads do this to their kids! If your child says no to riding a Roller Coaster that they think is too scary for them!! THEN DON’T BLOODY FORCE THEM TO GET ON IT!!! Plain and simple!! SMH

Are you serious who even says that and what does that have to do with THE TOPIC AT HAND?
Richard

Kinda sorry for the guy.

What do the parents use for brains? They know their children. Or maybe they don’t. Poor kid.

Shame on the mother for shaming her daughter to try to get internet fame.

My daughter has been riding roller coasters since she was 7 and 48 inches. Me; I was a scary cat as a child. Lol! 😆
Nick
Maybe you’re daughter got scared but you have no right to do film her getting escorted off a ride

Nice language there. Can only imagine what these kids were yelling at each other. Probably more to this trashy story of why getting kicked off ride

Disney needs to stop the destruction of a classic like Splash Mountain to replace it with garbage “diversity” trash

Big babies had to wait while a frightened child was let off a ride? Poor dears.
