Of course, I would remove headgear to help others see. I’m short and I know that they probably can see over me. However out of respect for others, it’s not a hard thing. Just do it. Be kind.

Out of respect for Native born Floridians please stay home. You know be kind. It’s not that hard.

      1. I’m a Floridian too— I say Welcome to our tourists! When I’m at Disney, I’m a tourist too!

Balloons tied to strollers is another one – Particularly on Main St during fireworks….

make them high enough so they don’t hit people in the face like one did to me on main street

If you go to any Disney park you know you are going to encounter people with ears. You know what you’re walking into. Stop b’ing. If it bothers you that much, politely ask the person if they will take them off.

  3. I always say to the person in front of me with Ears if they would please remove them for the show. Most of the time, they don’t even realize they have them on, and take them off. Then I thank them before and after the show.

Exactly! I always remove mine. And most people would if they were asked. But let’s just post a rant on social media instead of having a 2 second conversation with someone…

That and kids on shoulders during parades and fireworks. So rude. Why can’t Disney have everyone sit during fireworks so it’s easier to see or stop cramming people in like sardines? Also, do you have to record that entire show with your cell phone? 🙄

You are spot on with this one. Especially when you have been waiting an hour or so and when the show starts, bingo, up on the shoulders blocking the view. That should only be permitted in the last row.

    2. Kathy

Absolutely! Yes, at 5’4” I really want to stand behind a guy who is usually at least six feet tall with a five year old on his shoulders. Great view. Hold the kid in your arms so they can see. It may be harder for you but it’s a lot nicer for everybody else who had paid for a ticket.

  5. Peggy

Welcome to my world. Not the ears just seems like everywhere we sit a tall person will sit in front of me 5’4”.

It has gotten so bad I don’t go to movie theater that don’t have a middle isle.

An please if you go to fantasmic and sit in handicap please don’t stand at the end in front of the person behind you in a wheel chair. I had a whole group of ignorant people do that to my daughter who is non verbal and she just cried because she couldn’t see the end all for them to all use their iPad and phones to video.

Yes, kids on shoulders is far worse than the Mickey Ears. I always loved to, and did carry my girls around on my shoulders when they were small. I would have never done that during any sort of show if it impacted anyone around me however!!

  7. SEVANS

Im not sure how much more he would have seen even if the ears were off! However he could have asked would she mind removing them for the period of the show!

I am from europe and i have been to Disney World in Florida. And i did never ask for those ears and i was eleven back then. So the least peoply can do is take them off. And sure you can always ask it its only a question.

  9. That’s definitely annoying. I know people wear the ears to match up with the whole Disney theme going on, but always take them off when it comes to watching the Disney shows that happen, especially when sitting down.

  10. Dani

    First world problems

  11. James

Yes, ask them to remove them, but in this case the person just looks like they take and their head still would’ve been in the way.

    1. James

Meant “they’re tall and their head still would’ve been in the way”

  12. Michelle

I’m sorry but that picture seems really suspicious. How, in a theater with stadium seating, is that head that big in front of you? Were you sitting behind a giant? I was asked once during fantasmic to take off my ears and I respectfully declines because I specifically bought them cause they glow with the show. Why would I take them off?

Agreed here. I stand 6’2″ and those things do make a better door than a window like myself
