Gary’s comment is right and I’m sure Walt would not have allowed it and wish it could stop

  2. Chris Wood

I don’t think they should cancel, but they should limit the number of drinks can have.. And I can say the same about the parent who just let their disrespectful maggots run around unchecked. Or the guest who fight, or guests getting out of rides damaging property. So maybe they should just ban human beings from the parks altogether

    1. Maura Carles

Like I said, these are the people complaining, they have to blame it on something, or others

  3. Mason

This is why Walt didn’t want alcohol in the parks.

  4. Anti-trans

Shut Disney down completely don’t care. Disney used to be more family-oriented and now they are a political parasite for children/families

    1. David A

With your attitude, why are you even on a Disney post. Go back to your Trans self! Cheers

Food and drink around the world is the best part of
Epcot. It is educational and we love it.
why would a person want to drink in the Magic Kingdom. then puke on a ride?
Restaurants need to serve alcohol, it is how they make their money.
prohibition does not work. People need to get over their righteous selves.

  6. Robert Miller

Alcohol shouldn’t be banned altogether but should be limited. Sell a card that has to be scanned with every drink purchase. Limit to so many per day or half day. This is a family park but also for adults. Just moderate..

    1. Maura Carles

      NOPE

  7. Maura Carles

This is not new, and this is what Epcot it’s about, tasting the different foods & drinks around the world showcase. I personally never seen anyone that out of it to say anything, I’ve seen people happy -go- lucky, but never rude or disruptive. I myself enjoy all the festival festivities, and it should Not change, it will destroy Epcot, & Disney is already having a lot of problems as it is right now. For those that don’t agree or like drinking, then stay away, go to magic kingdom.

  8. Maura Carles

    I agree

  9. Maura Carles

There has never been an issue, but there’s always that special group that messes it all up, trying to change things to their narrative

    1. Joe

You seem like fun at parties

    2. Kim

Shame for some to ruin having a drink in certain countries for the responsible guests . Maybe they can come up with a drink limit some how . Darn shame 😡

  10. Maura Carles

Epcot is 90% an adult park, the other parks are more kid friendly, and still sell liquor at some restaurants, the only one that does not is the Magic Kingdom to my knowledge, which is very kid friendly, and that is acceptable. Stop trying to take away from the adults, all parks are not Only for kids & those of you that don’t drink or against everything, get a life.

    1. Gary

Maura must have been wasted when she entered her post!

      1. Jeff

        You’re a clown

  11. Gary

    Wise up Mr.

  12. Maura Carles

Exactly, shut it, again, get a life

  13. Georgia

Never! There’s too much money in it. $18 for 6 ounces of wine that I can buy in the store for $12 a bottle??

  14. Madeline

Personally, I do not see this an issue. When I was at EPCOT, I saw no out of hand behavior from anyone. I went on a trip with my mother’s 4 year old step son and it was so refreshing to have one park that was geared to not only children but adults as well. If they see any issues with over served guests, they should retrain their staff on how and when to cut guests off.

  15. Corey McCoy

I don’t have an issue with alcohol, it depends on the person obviously and we shouldn’t take things away from others just because a few can’t behave.
My issue with all the alcohol in the parks, however, is that they serve to placate INSTEAD of adding more attractions! If I wanted to drink I have Disney Springs, or even my own hotel room! Or any bar anywhere for that matter! The more alcohol in a park the less attractions need to be placed, this is why EPCOT has the most alcohol of all 4. This is also why I’ve noticed Animal Kingdom has been adding more and more alcohol throughout their park lately, as the park SEVERELY lacks attractions.

I STRONGLY DISAPPROVE OF ALCOHOL DRINKING AT WALT DISNEY WORLD PROPERTIES. IT’S NOT THAT I DON’T ACCEPT RESPONSIBLE ADULT IMBIBING BUT AS A FREQUENT GUEST AT YOUR PARKS, I HAVE ENCOUNTERED EXCESSIVIE ALCOHOL CONSUMPSION AND VERY ROWDY AND ABUSIVE ALCOHOL-INFUSED BEHAVIOR.
I’M A FLORIDA RESIDENT AND I HAVE BEEN ATTENDING YOUR PARKS FOR 25-YEARS AND ON MANY OCCASIONS I HAVE EXPERIENCED MANY, MANY INSTANCES WHEN I AM SURE THAT WALT DISNEY IS “TURNING OVER IN IS GRAVE”. IS THE ‘BOTTOM LINE’ SO IMPORTANT TO THE “HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH”?

    1. Matteo

Lmao you do know Disney doesn’t actually check this website … furthermore times have changed , if their competitors sell alcohol then they will do so as well

    2. Jeff

Every bad experience I’ve had were from sober people…

    3. Wehateyourbigotry

And yet you read all the stories about Disney. You can unsubscribe you know

    4. Joem

Yes, for a publicly traded company the bottom line is very important.

    5. Erik Jeffries

HEY PAT, I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH THE WDW LETTING JUDGY A-H0LES LIKE YOU IN THE PARK. I HAVE ENCOUNTERED EXCESSIVIE RUDENESS, IGNORANCE, & ENTITLED INFUSED BEHAVIOR NUMEROUS TIMES FROM YOU HOLIER THAN THOU TYPES.
I’M A FLORIDA RESIDENT AND I HAVE BEEN ATTENDING YOUR PARKS FOR DECADES AND ON MANY OCCASIONS I HAVE EXPERIENCED MANY, MANY INSTANCES WHEN I AM SURE THAT WALT DISNEY IS “TURNING OVER IN IS GRAVE” FROM RUDE, SOBER 1D10TS. NOT TO MENTION THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 5TH ‘KEY’ THAT HAS TRANSFORMED THE CAST MEMBERS INTO MORE CARNEY WORKERS THAN PART OF THE SHOW.

  17. Matteo

Sounds like a bunch of over sensitive snowflakes liberals just trying to ruin the fun about Drinking Around the World tradition

    1. Joem

It’s actually conservative, bible thumping snowflakes.

      1. Erik Jeffries

No, it’s you whiny leftist snowflakes who always play the victim and need someone to blame. The people that get out of hand the most at the parks are you entitled, leftist 1d10ts.

        1. Melanie

100% of the drink people I’ve seen at Epcot are conservative dad’s getting hammered because they hate their families.

          1. TD

Because you know they are conservatives by the way they drink.lol Why politicize this?

  18. DT

I am sure this article will be what starts everyone stopping alcohol consumption on vacation. I am sure that will catch on really soon. Nevermind that Disney rakes in huge amounts of money from alcoholic beverages. I am sure Disney will see the light and stop immediately. /s

  19. Jen

Oh wah. Adults should be able to drink if they want to. If you don’t like it, the solution is simple- Go to another park. I doubt your complaints will change anything. It is about the mighty $$$.

  20. Jeff

    Exactly

  21. Jeff

So limit the people who are only there for one day. Got it. Great business model

  22. A

Disney is barely tolerable with alcohol. Without alcohol to distract from the insane lines for short mostly meh rides, it would be totally intolerable. Plus any way Disney can squeeze money out of people they are going to, and that includes overpriced samples.

  23. Geo

Just double the prices of alcohol

  24. Don’t want to drink? Then don’t. Otherwise mind your own damned business. Wet blanket a’holes

  25. Eric

I’m 25 and grew up in South Florida going to Disney many times a year. I can say with confidence that still one of my bucket list items is to “drink around the world” for what it’s worth.

  26. For gosh sake Snowflakes, get over your imagined offense! I’m a local AP, I’m there a lot. Mostly in the evening hours and I’m not seeing any of this stuff you people are getting the vapors over. Don’t like it, don’t go. The lines are too long anyway.

  27. Melanie

This is so silly. Where’s the article about unruly children ruining the experience for others. I’ve seen WAY more entitled parents screaming at cast members over their “little angels” than I have intoxicated people. It happens, but the parents and kids being monsters happens far more. So when are we addressing that??

  28. Vk24

I remember many years ago, stopping at the beverage stand by Rose & Crown. Got a hard cider and felt really weird walking around with it.

  29. Thomas

I guess Disney doesn’t want EPCOT to stay open then. Less than 1% of the guests pose a problem. The festivals are enjoyable with foods and craft drinks. Disney will take a HUGE loss if they ban the alcohol side of the festivals.

  30. Gary

People who do not agree with what Walt wanted on alcohol are not true Walter Elias Disney FANS!!
