Some of these “influencers” are real jerks to the cast members. They think they are God’s gift and should be treated like royalty! If they don’t get their way, they can be harsh and abusive!! They give the good people a bad name.
I do miss 1966 when I had a chance to talk to Walt himself inside Disneyland.
These trouble makes need to be delta with. It’s time to fox these problems with undercover security and permanent trust path them
The fact that we live in a time where people can be influenced by others simply because they think so highly of themselves is just sad. Society today appears to have left the decision making of their lives up to some entitled people who believe everyone should think and act like them. It’s no wonder today’s generation are considered sheep.
I don’t mind if people videotape on the rides. But I do insist that there be absolutely no light coming from your camcorder. Follow the rules, if a cast member tells you to turn the camcorder off and turn the damn thing off. Do not record on rides with cell phones because cell phones give off light. Do not talk while on the rides and respect you rather guess around you.
I’m influenced by no one. Some of the people broadcasting from the park is interesting until they start thanking and welcoming people to their blog, that’s boring. I have no idea why they are even called influencers. The best ones walk through the parks silently so we can hear the sounds as if you were actually in the park. Does that entitle them for a free ride, absolutely not.
It’s called the Kardashian Effect. The profound impact of the superficial that impacts so many in today’s society. A number of medical thesis have been written about it.
LOL, this one made me laugh…at the so called, “Influencers”. So, without any direction, guidance, or orders from the mouse, these juvenile delinquents go to a Disney theme park with their cell phone, and take it upon themselves to get their 15 minutes of fame. And because of their self proclaimed VIP status, they think they can dictate terms to Disney, treat people like crap, break the rules, and even have the nerve to suggest that Disney should pay them. It sounds to me like Disney should show these, “Cherished guests” the exit, while keeping hands, arms, feet, and legs close to their sides, and warn them to not let the gate hit them in the ass, as they are being told to have a magical day.
Here’s an idea, if a person sees one of these juvenile delinquents, photobomb their little session, and make it incredibly miserable for them, to where it’s no longer any fun. That should take care of that.
Oh, that is a brilliant idea . . . And if they’re doing a ‘live’ segment, throw your arm over their shoulder and say “Well look who’s here! When did you get outta jail?”
The sad part of Disney “influencers” is that they think Disney needs them to help fill parks. Disney has done just fine filling the parks without them. Sure, can it be fun to check out a few videos people share? Absolutely, but do we need them? NO. I can look on websites like Shop Disney for the clothes, I can look at the Disney websites to look at rides, hotels, restaurants etc. if an influencer ever asked me to move out if their way for a video or shot I would laugh my ass off.
If she has to smuggle fireworks in, she knew it was against the rules. When the parks started opening back up from the pandemic, people are acting like it’s their first time outside of the house ever. It’s sad, and it takes away from the magic.
I believe the majority of YouTube vloggers bring value on their Disney videos. They report on what’s new at the parks, and also review the different food venues. Instagram and Tiktoc ‘influencers’ provide no such value.
I cannot stand ride video recorders because last time I rode Smuggler’s Run I had two jobs. I had engineer and the ride video recorder he was gunner. I kept on telling him to do his job as gunner so I had to fix repairs and shoot tie fighters all at the same time.
They already profit off their followers/sheep on YouTube/IG… which is considered commercial use and against current park rules but no cast member enforces this unfortunately. Disney must sadly view this as free publicity. They even give these “influencers” special media previews/events which baffles me bc Disney can do a much better job of advertising than using amateur vloggers. Disney should actually go after a portion of their channel proceeds since a majority of their streams are Disney content…I mean isn’t that what licenses/IP is for?
They aren’t “influencers”, they are narcissists. They think that everyone cares about what they think, say and do. They need mental health and to be thrown OUT of anywhere they go.
They are a complete waste of space and oxygen. Seriously Disney doesn’t need influencers to advertise their parks… they’re overcrowded on the best days! They certainly don’t need the snotty entitlement that a lot of these influencers bring with them, being rude to others, taking up cast members time that should be spent with children.
About 4 years ago my husband & I had two bloggers (no vids) from two different Disney fan sites who sat behind us in a car at the Sci Fi Dine In. What bothered us most is that they both of course took multiple photos and they illuminated each other’s shots with their phones. Then proceeded to critique each other’s meals, the drinks, the food, the ambiance… what ambiance? You’re both trying really hard to ruin the ambiance for us. We were close to confrontation, but didn’t want to end up being the subject of a blog with our photo likenesses added. If it were kids that were talking the whole time, that’s one thing, but it wasn’t an experience that we expected and in such small quarters. They are literally less than 2 feet from us. So I can imagine how irritated I would have been if they were vloggers. Now if they ask us to join in the fun or critique, that would have been different. I think there’s a finesse to blogging and vlogging, you either got or you don’t.
I’ve ran across these Influencers that feel they’re the only ones in the park they’re rude and self righteous with a strong opinion they are PRIVILEGED.
DISNEY NEEDS TO FOLLOW DISNEY JAPAN !!
These people need to be banned , Disney Japan has done this to create equity for every guest to create there own memories and experience and not to be Impeded by people that think they are Privileged and above everyone else Just for likes on there channels .
They are not a third party contracted that works for Disney , they are guests of the park and when the infringe on other guest Ban them .
Disney has been effectively endorsing these influencers as free advertising for a while, and now more want to get in on the act. I don’t think Disney will be able to completely clamp down on them as most are just taking picturesm/videos of themselves not any different from the regular guests. They can certainly get the obnoxious ones that are practically doing their own film set work and annoying other guests though. Those people have to go. It’s one thing to record yourself as you’re walking around and taking rides or even recording your own meal. It’s a whole different thing when you are disturbing someone else’s visit with your antics. They can contact Disney Weddings and set up their own early morning photo shoots in the parks if they want to do something without the crowds around. We all paid good money to get into the parks as well as the influencer.
I would not be disheartened to see these folks go. As so many have noted, they think much higher of themselves than they should or need to. Maybe I’m just old school but I feel these folks actually take away from the experience and mystery. If Disney feels the need to influence, let them bring someone in who knows the rules, respects others, and is as inconspicuous as can get. Take these show boaters and oust them. Ok, that’s my opinion, for what it’s worth.

They need to go‼️I have no need to listen to people I don’t know and think they know everything . Leave Disney alone. Enough is enough.

Many influencers have facts wrong, or complain. They talk really loud and disrupt other guests trying to have a good time.

Influencers are a cancer to the parks…, they’re ruining other folk’s vacation and experiences at the parks…

“Whether you’re going to Disney World or Disneyland as an influencer or just a regular Guest” they are regular guests.

They destroy any magic that’s left, which isn’t much. Disney doesn’t need “influencers.” They have managed quite well for decades without them.

Very good!!!

The world would be a better place if we’d stop giving ALL social media influencers the attention they do desperately desire.
