This article makes it sound like the closure may be permanent… the Disneyland site even says it will reopen on the 24th. It will literally only be down for 4 days.
Thanks for clarifying! I was about to look it up myself! This article makes it sound like it’s closing permanently! It’s straight up lying to everyone! My mother is disabled and she’s very old and not doing well and one of her wishes was to go to Disneyland in March for the food and wine festival she can’t walk she can’t do much of anything at her age anymore with knee replacement arm replacement cancer she was looking so forward to riding the monorail some so that will be open by the time we get there!
Likely just a referb but interesting timing considering they just painted the old PeopleMover track getting some hopeful for what would undoubtedly be nothing 🤷♀️
This article is very confusing. All of the pictures are of the Disney World monorail, but it sounds like it’s only the Disneyland monorail that’s closing?
Shame on you for not stating the full truth about the closure. Those of us who are elderly and disabled schedule our dream vacations at Disney properties because of the magical experience, but it also involves a lot of planning around transportation within the parks. Your idea of grabbing peoples attention by throwing a incomplete statement out there obviously works, but your words can cause as much anxiety about something as important as transportation as it can cause joy and happiness. Please be careful to give us the full story and not just a half true statement with no timeline.

Yeah, closing the Monorail permanently would be 10 times as big a news story as closing Splash Mountain.
Jim
If he actually reported the “true” story, no one would click on his article.
I’m just shocked that he got to the point so quickly. Usually the first 4-6 paragraphs are the same rehash of what Disney has to ride, eat, etc.

The picture of monorail purple is clearly from DLR. “Disneyland monorail system” is even printed on the skids along the bottom.

Did Luke have a stroke while writing this out?

Does anyone know when splash mountain is closing? Like to ride in when I’m there in February

Read an article that Ken Patrock is trying to save it from happening in Anaheim. We can only hope.

Horrible piece. It’s closed for four days. Not permanently.
Stop writing stuff that’s a false narrative.
