As stated by Disney Execs they can “control” capacity to give those you can get a reservation a better experience, and too control profit, while keeping operating costs down.
So when you see that a park is sold out, doea not mean actually full capacity but means what limits Disney sets for that day and that park.
The old school way of determining capacity in WDWR would be by parking. If the parking lots were full and closed, yes then theres a full capacity.
As Disney is greatt with artifical illusions , this is one of them. Unfortunately its in place and from the “buzz” inside Disney its here to stay.
Park reservation system is a joke…Disneys idea of cramming as many people as possible is as real as it gets… standing in line for 2 hours for a ride is NOT using a reservation system to give patrons a GREAT EXPERIENCE!! And you wonder why people get into fights, argue, complain then ultimately DO NOT RETURN??
