They are currently trying to get a pay increase so they can “live above poverty”, and Disney turns around and says, “Oh, hey, you can get 50% off on something we know you can’t afford”.
Nice play Disney.

They are hoping by getting DVC and Executive castmembers to fill up slots, this will look like demand is high and supply is low so regular guest will pay the full price. Sad truth is everyone who could afford probably already went, and it wasn’t good enough to go again.
Only the Executive castmembers will be able to afford it at 50% off. Castmembers at minimum wage will not. They just want minimum wage increased to $17/hr like Universal.
So let me get this straight. Disney Parks & Walt Disney World is asking people who need money the most (their employees) to still pay over a grand to stay at Galactic Starcruiser in the midst of contract negotiations to try to save it? Wow, Disney Parks & Robert Iger really need to read the room.
“ The response to the Galactic Starcruiser has been mixed” no they haven’t, not by people that have experienced it.
It a costly thing to do but if you stop and break it down you can see where your money goes.
Honestly we thought it would be a one time thing, but it’s so good that when the timing is right we will be going again.
They just need to put packages together for people coming from outside the USA .
Oh bother! Cast members can hardly afford rent, let alone forking out that much money! Here an idea: cut the price 50% for your regular guests! Oh, wait, that would make too much sense

Loved Galactic Starcruiser. Would go again if they offer a significant discount.
