Very unfortunate this is occurring…I do wish this guest well and hope they may return to Disney one day when prices do become more affordable like once they were, and when Disney can trult recapture that magical.guest experience.
I too, have had recent questioning concerns of the loyalty to Disney. I think a lot of us are starti g to see an epiphany, whther you ned a temporary pause from Disney, and or a clean break, that is each individuals choice.
The blame for corporate greed is the Board of Directors (aka MsMcCarhty, amongst others) that do not have any on site nor practical view points of guests in the parks and resorts. Josh DAmaro may have a slight insight, but not enough. Uttering words and promises in public statements.is not enough. It takes action to accomplish anything even if it creates waves within the company and is the unpopular choice of the majority board.
The older school of Disney was better, to a degree with Eisner and Katzenberg at the helm.
As I stated before Disney seems.to place more empahsis on the end of day short term profit (make as.much as you can for the day) and not concerned about long term sustained profit which lower prices would sustain and keep guests returning.
The CFO doeanot seem.to understand logical.long term.sustained profit. If the guests are happ with a lower priced admission they will come back repeatedly which increases their spending on food and merchandise, resort in the long term increasing Disneys profit across the board.
Charging a maximum price will.make the guests unhappy, and result in loosing their loyalty and repeated return trips in addition to damaging the brand, in this case Disney.
There will be a ceiling the pricing will hit and resulting in pricing guests, and even those who can afford it, but shouldnt have to oay enormous prices , out of a vacation. As the article.points out the guest choose Universal.as a cheaper alternative. This will occur throughout the land, as long time loyal.guests will opt out of Disney and opt into local amusement park.options for 1/2+ or more of what it would cost for a Disney vacation.
To jump ship seems like a good idea and for some all.the greed, politics, wokeness is surely enough reason to do so. I though am.hanging on, because I know that someone i. the Disney corporation and or Disney family will put an end to this corporate spew of greed and neglect for end of day maximum profit.
It is absolutely, hands down WAY too expensive!!! You have to pan at least well over $500 per person per day IF you want the full Disney experience. It’s truly sad that the corporate greed is stealing the most magical place in the world from our kids. We can’t afford to go anymore…….
My family visited annually for 16 years. We last went in May 2022 and quickly realized that was our last trip. We love Disney and have made wonderful memories, but the expense along with the decision to be “woke” rather than family friendly entertainment, has changed our view of the Happiest Place on Earth. The days of excellent service and clean parks are no more. We have started new traditions for family vacations at a much lower cost. Goodbye Disney!
