Today’s Disney doesn’t care about charm or the classics. They just care if it’s woke enough. If not, it gets re-themed.

The Contemporary Resort and Polynesian Resort @WDWR…

No matter the interior/exterior additions, (addition of Bay Lake Tower-Contemporary) these two resorts have that retro stuck in time of the 1970s. The resorts are instilled in thst time period…thats what makes it charming…

As to the attractions, no better example of “stuck in time” was Epcot before the first retro fit. Horizons, Journey Into Imagination, World of Motion, KitchenCabaret/Food Rocks, Universe of Energry…is what made Epcot , well Epcot.

Same for Disney(MGM)Studios. It had that 1990s place in time. Some of the feel is still there, however its no longer a production studio too. So yes some things Disney can drastically change at which point only memories exist. For me there is no point in going to the studio park because I want to remember it as it was a working production studio theme park, not just a theme park.

Animal Kingdom does not have that charm…Funny but it just doesnt… Maybe in time it will….

Thw Magic Kingdom, like the Contemporary and Polynesian, no matter how much retro fit and new additions it will always have that 1970s feel to it.

Disney Springs, and the Marketplace. Again the Market place has that 1970s feel which is why I pefer that section of Disney Springs to the others.

Some things are better left untouched. Just upkeep them and the attractions will stand the test of time.
