Destroying an iconic ride for some half baked crap cartoon character and now removing Aerosmith before any one is actually charged or convicted because the charges are all heresay is pathetic! Why not worry about all the Disney ho’s like Miley, Christina, Britney and so many more who have certainly disgraced the Disney name far more than the song of the south or Aerosmith! Even with a new guy in charge there’s some very sick and pathetically inept people making decisions for this company. If Walt was still here there would be so many people fired it would finally make Disney a fun place to go again. But when you kiss the a__ of a handful of sickos you alienate the majority. Words of advice but unlikely lesson learned?

As a huge Aerosmith AND Disney fan I can tell you this article wasn’t properly researched. The contract with Aerosmith ended in 2022. It was always unlikely it would be renewed. Their last album flopped and they’re just not culturally relevant to new generations. Other sites have been speculating about what the re-theme might be for at least a year now. This was always going to happen. It has nothing to do with Steven Tyler’s legal issues.
I love the Rock and Rollercoaster ride, but a refresh wouldn’t be a bad idea. The goofy movie band is a terrible idea though. Why not make it a timeless band like the Beatles possibly, especially since Disney + ran the million hour Beatles doc. The song list would be endless and they could mix the tracks to be different each ride like the new guardians ride does. Could keep the same theme and ride format adding some new elements around these rock icons. Or make it a rock and roll hall of fame them and have a bunch of different bands and music that again change making for a different experience each time you ride.
Disney would have to pay Sony a license fees for each song they used, the reason why is that Micheal Jackson was able to buy them out from underneath MacCartney and then sold them to Sony, it’s a long story.
This is a GREAT idea, Aerosmith is dated, we really need something relevant that isn’t Disney channel music that they already play from the 2000s which is cringe enough, I love this ride with all my heart…but the goofy movies aren’t relevant either, and let’s be honest almost all rock stars including the Beatles have done some pretty messed up stuff with minors we will probably never know about it – as a millennial myself, these “woke” ideas and just the absolute BABIES of my generation ruin the fun for the rest of us
They should totally replace Aerosmith with Queen instead. It’d be really cool and honestly I think a lot of people would enjoy it. Like they could keep a lot of what’s already there and just change up the music and such. It’s probably a better idea than what they currently have.

I like the idea of Queen proposed in the comments as Queen is timeless. However, we all know that they are going to attach it to an IP.

The “lawsuit” is spurious and laughable, and it doesn’t matter anyway because Disney’s contract with Aerosmith ran out in 2022, so rebranding the ride has nothing to do with anything Tyler did and everything to do with the fact that Universal now owns the rights to Aerosmith’s music, which, by the way, is objectively better than Queen’s. Aerosmith IS American Rock & Roll. You want a Queen ride, go to France.
I really think that they should leave the Ryan completely alone because it is classic and iconic. When I experienced this ride, I literally felt like I was on the highway and I was the celebrity trying to make my way across town to get to my performance, the theme fits perfectly for the Ride. If they were going to change it, I would just put another artist to keep it music oriented. But still keep the theme of the highway and the limousine just another band like Bon Jovi or journey.
