I was very happy with my experience on the Warner Bros Studio Tour because I went in knowing it is NOT a theme park or but rather an exhibit with a few interactive pieces. Great look at the sets and costumes. Amazing large scale model of Hogwarts. I loved the video making experience – even though it cost extra. Food was not great but the butterbeer was wonderful!

    1. Ccc

      Thank you!

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is not a Theme Park with Rides and Attractions, this is an equivalent to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood (in Burbank, CA) and both have up charge experiences.

I am pleased to read you had a pleasant experience vs this person who comes across like she’s entitled making tik tok videos for attention.

      1. Gareth

This is a joke right?? I’ve been 4 times now as an adult and EVERY time it has been different, with more amazing experiences….also it’s a Studio tour. Do behind the scenes seeing how it all works, it sound like the reviewer want it to be more like Theme park which it isn’t. Looking forward to my 5 trip this year and can’t wait.

        1. Sam

Apparently this person is unfamiliar with the concept of studio tour, also woth the concept of a museum. You walk around, you look at stuff. You’re lucky if there is anything “interactive” at all. That is not the point. You’re there to see the sets and costumes and such. Not to be in the movie. Sheesh. This looks rad honestly.

        2. Judith Young

We went a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it! Spent the whole day there, and the staff were fantastic.

        3. Leanne

This article is an absolute disgrace. You’re taking one entitled little brat’s opinion on something she’s reviewing that she doesn’t even understand! Clearly, since she thinks it’s a theme park!

This place is in no way boring or underwhelming, and she clearly isn’t a true Harry Potter fan if she thinks it is. I’ve been here about 4 times over the years, and every time I’ve been there’s been something new and different to see and interact with. I thought the dragon section in the newer Gringotts area was one of the coolest things I’d ever seen the last time I went! That’s not a paid for experience. The Forbidden Forest area is stunning. That’s not a paid for experience.

This girl is literally talking out of her ass, and the fact that you’ve written this article about it with no other research at all is honestly shocking, and you should be ashamed of yourselves, trying to give an absolutely amazing experience a bad name.

      2. Lisa

I have been 18 times. Myself and my family love it. It is a tour not a theme park. I don’t know what she was expecting but it’s not Hollywood. The food is ok and the butter beer is an acquired taste but we always look forward to going and will be going again this year

        1. Raitch

Obviously food guide London or whatever their name is was never an actual harry potter fan, as an ‘influencer’ getting a free experience they couldnt appreciate the look behind the curtain feel of the studio tour, I’ve been twice and as other commenters have stated its a studio tour, so sets, props and costume replicas and some originals from the movies, I was frankly impressed with the level of detail and interactivity as I expected a museum exhibit and not Disney land, the forbidden forest was a particular favourite, animatronic buckhead ftw

    2. Keith Hoggard

Surely the name “Studio Tour” gives away the fact it is a tour of the sets and props used in the movies rather than a theme park? Also I don’t understand the complaint about the movie on the bus, if the vlogger had to watch a different screen from an empty seat then why not just sit there instead?
I went with my family a few years ago and we all loved it. Seeing the props and costumes used including the model which they actually used for filming aerial scenes in the later movies, and the camera tricks they used with bits like the corridor in The Leaky Couldron and the bridge outside the school was fascinating for me as an adult and my kids enjoyed the broomstick flight. I can’t comment on paying for extras as I don’t recall any and we took photos with the Hogwarts Express.
Anyone who read this and is out off by it I would say give it a go, I’ve not met one person yet who hasn’t enjoyed their time there!

      1. Rachel

I think the point is what if there wasn’t an empty seat, and if the screen for that seat doesn’t work then a ticket for that seat should not be available to begin with. The problem with many attraction type places is they charge a large amount up front then over charge for everything aditional inside. A tour should include you being able to aptp least take your own pics at each attraction. A golden HP experience bus ride should not be stopping 15 minutes away from the tour location site. If you went to a meet and greet of an author do you expect nothing more than hi what’s your name as they write two letters with squiggly lines? Or would u expect them to say u something about the book, maybe something only a person there would know, secret thoughts for the next book, or a dishy detail u wouldn’t know otherwise about the author personally.

      2. Claire

I have been twice and have booked to go again. It is a must do for any Harry Potter fan. Everyone I know that has been have enjoyed it, even those not the biggest fans of the films. It is worth the money for the model of Hogwarts alone which moved me to tears!

        1. Bob

This studio tour is absolutely amazing! A real feast for the eyes! I want to look at everything and soak it all in. The fine detail of the craftsmanship, the actual costumes and props used in the films, this tour is absolutely stunning! My only issue is I need a 2 day pass and an overnight stay so I can take my time, do half first day and half second day. I love this place so much!! Think I paid £5 additional cost for extra audio description. It was worth it, but I didn’t watch/listen to all of it. I’m not sure what more the reviewer wanted? And the car park is huge and free

      3. Joanne

I’ve watched many YouTube videos by bloggers I like and they loved this experience. I trust their judgement. I’m sure it’s well worth the money.

    3. Fiona

I have been to the Studio tour twice and will happily go again. No it’s not a theme park but it give you the opportunity to see the movie sets up close. Yes you have to pay for the interactive sections but they give you a great memory. The last time I was there you could watch and interact with death eaters I highly recommend to any potter fan.

  2. Amanda Jarrett

I have been 5 times to the tour and have loved it each time. Yes the photos are a bit pricey but so are ride pictures at theme parks. I don’t understand the part about not being allowed to video where all the costumes are ? You can video and take pictures, there is only 3 areas you can’t and that’s the cinema screening area, the broom flight green screen and the hogwarts express green screen butthey are only small bits. As fir the hogwarts express costing £40 I have no idea what this person is on about. The only things you pay extra for is photos/videos from the green screen if you want them, food again if you want to pay because you can take your own food, just not allowed to eat or drink around the tour and the shop at the end again you don’t have to.
Basically you are not forced to buy these things.
I cannot comment on the bus as I haven’t used that.

I have found the staff there to be lovely as well and always willing to help or share secrets about the films etc.

I really don’t get this review at all. Obviously not a Harry Potter fan, I have taken others with me to the tour and no one left disappointed.

Don’t be put off by this persons review, visit and make up your own mind.

    1. Ollie

Totally agree! I have just been on the tour for the second time and thought it was great. It is NOT a theme park. There are no extra costs, except what you CHOOSE to buy …photos, food etc. The cost of a ticket is far less than Harry Potter World at Universal….I found THAT to be a waste of money because of the long lines for EVERYTHING.

Bottom line….the special bus is free from Watford Station….(sounds like the OP did some kind of tour deal). £50 for the entry ticket provides 4-5 hours of entertainment, depending on your specific interests and what you want to see….I did it all! I loved learning about some of the special effects, I got two green screen photos and a green screen video for £40….with minimal waiting.Items in the store are pricey…but no more than any other licensed stuff in theme parks/venues. Had a blast…I came all the way from USA….well worth the visit.

    2. Lee

You may not be able to video where the costumes are because of flashes used in taking photos. These can harm the fabric, surprisingly, over time. Although, usually, they just say no flash photography; however, many don’t follow that. The other reason could be the costumes may go on tours occasionally and/or photos rights to them are owned by someone. I go to museum exhibits all the time and the same rules apply to many of these. Just a thought.

  3. Pat Bridle

I am astounded at the review. I have visited over the years when new attractions opened. The Forbidden forest, Gringotts. The Christmas displays of Trees etc in the great Hall. When they had special death eaters experiences. There is so much to see, granted there are no rides etc but the opportunity to see how sets are made, special effects etc. So much to see it can take hours. The new entrance with the Gringotts dragon is amazing. Like all food halls you take your choice. The staff have always been really enthusiastic and so willing to engage with anyone who shows an interest. Yes you pay extra for things but that should not be unexpected. I have not taken children with me but the joy on their faces actually being where films were made was obvious seeing them as you navigate the experience. Hogwarts itself is magical and people stare in awe. Please do not be put off it’s a fantastic day out. Go with an open mind!! I did not use the bus so cannot comment on that.

  4. Oye

Sounds more like the reviewer is looking for a way to get more views by negative and defamatory comments about a highly successful and much loved experience about a franchise with a huge fanbase. Whether from angry fans or confused people wondering what they’re on about, the videos will get more views than they should, because they’re negatively skewed, and there’s nothing the press and people like more than negativity. Proof positive: this article.

    1. Jaxx

      Well said!

    2. Dan

I have been several times and even proposed to my wife there. The staff were amazing when I told them what I wanted to do and gave us time and space on our own within Gringotts. Yes the food is pricey, but it’s what I’d expect at any experience like this.

  5. Aaron

I have been twice and I had an excellent experience! As long as you understand it is more a museum than a theme park with some astounding art and exhibits then it is very enjoyable!
Some of the extras are pricey but as long as you know that and can budget accordingly if you want to do them.

  6. Chris

It’s a museum not a theme park. Anyone who is a fan of the films will be so excited to walk through the actual sets such as the great hall, where the actors actually walked, and see the real costumes and props. I’ve been and can’t wait to go again. Absolutely worth every penny

  7. Faith

I agree with all the comments. This review is absurd and clearly not a harry potter fan. The tour is wonderful. It feels magical the second you step in until the end. Of course things are pricey, what isn’t now a days. Don’t take this review as fact, look at the thousands of people that have been and loved it. It’s a brilliant place.

  8. Chris Wood

Are we suppose to take the word of some influencer? Who cares. Now more people are going to see the harry potter world now.

  9. Droobles

What a pathetic whinger! Many of the statements are completely inaccurate. Clearly not a genuine fan by any means. As an oft-returning visitor, I can honestly say that the whole tour is completely magical, awe inspiring, with enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. The site is immense and it’s not possible to cover everything in one day. Every item and exhibit has screen history and all the effects are brilliant. Queues? Yes, a few minutes only as there are several of each of the flying, photo and carriage booths. Charges are only for photos and videos which you would pay for at any attraction. Plenty of eateries and shops. Try and tell me that the Gringott’s dragon isn’t impressive or the vast Hogwarts castle itself. The Great Hall? Diagon Alley? The Hogwarts Express? I could go on all day. Seriously, don’t listen to this miserable attention seeker. Worth every penny and with new attractions constantly opening and themed events all year, there is always something new to see. Book now! Really, right now. Note that the sell out tickets say it all!

    1. Todd

Absolutely agree with your review, not that of the bratty tiktoker

  10. Steve

“Influencer” = useless critic that followers trust. I would venture to say that if this “influencer” was comped tickets and everything else, the review would have been much different ( probably also hates JK)

    1. zgillet

They WERE comped the tickets. Read the article.

      1. russ demczak

I concur wholeheartedly. A colossal waste of time and money. It’s not worth 10£ let alone 50£.

I was bored to tears by the 3 minute mark.

I think you either have to be a child, an extreme trivia person, or something similar to get the slightest amount of enjoyment out of this. If you are just a casual fan of the movies, I’d say skip it.

    2. Jeff

Very sad muggie whose more interested in their mobile phone and filming their life and posting stuff rather than actually paying attention and enjoying this amazing tour! Been 4 times and each time you see alot of things youve missed previously.

  11. Todd

I’m confused by the article. I’m from the States: is she talking about the studio tour itself, or some other special bus tour? All the pics were from the regular studio tour. The regular studio tour was SO MUCH FUN! My family and I loved it. Of course, my kids aren’t the entitled, whiny brat that this tiktoker is. Why is “food guide london” even reviewing the tour, other than Butterbeer (spoiler alert – it’s not real beer!) HP isn’t know for its food. It’s know for its wonderful story and it’s magic, things the author of this seems to lacked in her sad life. My family felt the chance to visit the sets where the filming actually occurred was so special, and we live a stone’s throw from Hollywood itself!

  12. Gaz

Having been to the Harry Potter studio tour several times I believe this womens review to be very inaccurate.
It is not a theme park it is a set/costume tour with extras, everytime my wife and I have visited we have thoroughly enjoyed it. We have only ever had a snack at the restaurants but they have been fine. I think the gift shop is expensive but then no ones forcing you to buy anything. We have never bought videos from the green screen experiences, we take plenty of other photos and videos. We have never taken the bus to the studio so I can’t comment on that, although I have stood on the night bus entrance platform 😊
I would recommend the Harry Potter studio tour to any HP fan.

  13. Daryl-Rhys

Sorry to this person but seeing the actual props is far more interesting than going to Universals recreation.

  14. Veronika

Same as the other comments I completely disagree with the review. Have been to the studios twice now and would love to go back again. The staff were incredibly helpful and enthusiastic, the exhibits were amazing, there were loads of interactive things as well. Felt so nice being in the studios where the movies were made and having a look behind the scenes. If you are reading this article, don’t be discouraged, it is totally worth going if you are a Harry Potter fan!

  15. Paula

I have been there a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The second time was even better because they had added more things. The restaurant was food as well.

  16. Kerry

I call BS on this review. I’ve been twice and found it fantastic each time and would gladly go again if I ever get to go back to London. Their first mistake was not to simply take the train to Watford Junction. There are cheaper ways than the bus they took. This read like they went looking to find things to complain about.

  17. MJ

Let’s be blunt. You can’t praise anything Harry Potter on TikTok anymore or you’ll get it in the neck from the JK Rowling haters. This “review” is just trying to ride the wave of hate.

  18. David

It’s literally advised on ads as “The Making Of Harry Potter” get the F over it. I went there for my birthday and it was so magical and amazing, my grandma who has never heard of Harry Potter even enjoyed it be greatful that you didn’t have to pay and who cares that you couldn’t record. Recordings can be lost but memories last forever. I will admit some stuff was a bit pricey but I can only imagine that is just London’s prices for you

  19. James

Not an “influencer” saying dividing things on Tiktok to get views and comments surely.
My 12 year old and I have been 3 times, if you actually appreciate what goes into filmmaking it’s an epic experience.

    1. technusgirl

I don’t know why someone would go to a theme park to watch a movie. My son and I went to the one here in Orlando Florida, it was not that bad, it’s just a part of the theme park not a theme park in itself. My son is disabled so we got on rides pretty quickly. My only gripe is that there was nothing we could eat as none of the restaurants there had vegan options, just meat and dairy in every dish. Also since then my son has become transgender and we feel uncomfortable about going given that the creator is a terf.

  20. Becca

Husband and I went on our Honeymoon and absolutely loved the experience. There are so many amazing props, exhibits, and concept art to look at. It’s more along the lines of a museum dedicated to the Harry Potter franchise.

  21. Rachel

I was really happy with my experience my last trip, please don’t take this personally but I think you are burned out theme park blogging and you need to take a break for a while. A lot of your articles have a negative jaded perspective. I’ve watched your YouTube channel and it was hilarious. Maybe take a step back and fill your self with something else for a while I think you need a change of scene

  22. Aaron

Ungrateful “influencer” bruh she js plus sized and complaining, yet she didn’t have to pay anything for it lmfao

  23. Helen Harness

It was wonderful brilliant to see where the sets were used loved drinking butter beer the night bus was brill we went in 2017 when I was 40 the forest was new so was diagon alley. I loved every aspect of it. And with new sets like the bank I will love to go visit again when I’m 50 xx

  24. Natalie

I have experienced the WB Studio tour more than 7 times. Each time I see something new. Exhibits are rotated, and I will return soon I hope.

    I love the tour.

  25. Michelle

This person seems really entitled tbh, the staff weren’t excited enough for you? Maybe they were having an off day like did you expect them to roll out a red carpet for you? Seems like an entitled complainer who didn’t do any research before going it’s a studio tour therefor sets , costumes , props which is what was in the video it looks awesome. What an entitled person

  26. Tehya

I’ve been to the Harry Potter tour 6 times now, and on my most recent visit last week, my partner proposed! So it’s a magical place for me.
But every time I’ve been, I’ve loved it even more. It’s not supposed to be an overly interactive experience- no you can’t touch the sets or costumes because they’re worth so much money!
Personally I think it’s so worth the money if you want to understand behind the scenes of the films

  27. Tony

I’m from the US and I went to London specifically for the HP studio tour(and for the Tower Bridge and Cotswolds😜). It was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. I would go back every year if I was living in the UK! (Maybe someday…🤞 Until then, I’ll waiting for the Hogwarts Legacy to come out!

  28. D

We were pretty bored too. It wasn’t at all what I expected.

  29. Dutch Uncle

My wife and I visited this site outside London. It is not a theme park, and does not claim to be a theme park in any of its advertising or literature or website. It is the real studio where the filming took place. It might be more like a museum. There are displays of props, the ability to walk through some actual original sets, and displays of filming techniques. They were also some live presentations by staff. We had already been to Universal Studios in Florida for the theme park experience, and this is a very different activity. This reviewer clearly did not do any homework before visiting.

  30. Ashley

I thought it was an absolutely incredible experience. The set designs you walk on are amazing. Very interactive. I taped in every area I went. The bus was lackluster and it was hard to watch the movie. Everything else was great! I would go again

  31. Wayne

It’s not a theme park. It’s a studio tour. It says so in the title of the attraction. Of course it’s expensive too. It’s part of the wizarding world. Like most franchises, companies squeeze as much money out of you as possible. To be honest this content creator’s channel clearly shows that she has high expectations and questionable taste. I have been to many of the places they review and had very different experiences. I suggest she does more research before visiting places like this so she knows what to expect.

  32. Skippy

We came over to London from the States. The Harry Potter Experience was #1 on my must-do list! It was incredible! I felt like I was actually there at Hogwarts, the Forbidden Forrest, and other locations! I loved getting my butterbeer from the concessions area!!! I didn’t want to leave and rejoin the muggle world!!

  33. Aaron

I don’t understand this person’s review; I went in 2017 – flew from LA – and absolutely loved the experience. My friends and I had a fantastic time.

  34. Kenneth Inman

That looks a lot like the one we went to at Universal in Orlando Fl. A bit pricy but it was really cool and everyone had a great time.

  35. Tiger

I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan but I read the first book and watched all the films maybe a half a dozen times now and this looks amazing. There is YouTube video that’s a full hour showing the tour and the detail of the sets, props and costumes are impressive. I would certainly go if I was ever back in London or England.

I think this reviewer expected it to be like Universal Studios which I also been to in California and Florida to do the Harry Potter attractions and it’s amazing but it’s two different experiences.

Now if she didn’t like it she didn’t like it but it really sounds like her expectations were unrealistic for what she wanted.

  36. Simplejack

    41 comments, and a
40 of them countered with absolutely glowing reviews of this place. Sad this business will lose customers and so many will miss out because people are so gullible, falling for an attention grabbing fraud looking for followers/$. “Influencers”, lol.

    1. LYNN

I’m form the States and went to this in 2018 when I went to London and had a great time. It was one of the highlights of my trip and I told everyone that like Harry Potter they should go. If i go back to London I would probably want to go again..
      I took loads of pictures.

I don’t what this tik-tocker is on but she she need to stop. This was a great place and a must see for HP fans

    2. Well bloody said, I salute you sir

  37. Amy Brown

On a recent visit to the UK my husband and I throughly enjoyed our visit to the studio. It’s not a coaster park and anyone expecting Disney like rides will he disappointed. But it was awesome to get to see so many movie props in one places.

  38. Steve

This was a stop for my wife and I on our honeymoon. The only issue we had was that we didn’t have enough time to experience everything they had to offer. We’ve gotten to experience the London, Orlando and Los Angeles experiences and each had their own charm. The article sounds more like a bratty social media personality who had impossible expectations.

  39. Brian

Vehemently disagree with the “influencer” who sounds as if they have zero familiarity with what the attraction is. It literally is described as a “studio tour”. That doesn’t mean VR and interactive displays. I absolutely loved all of it, from stepping into the great hall of Hogwarts to the sets and costumes. Guess this person thought it was something completely different.

  40. Wendy

I went with a friend just before christmas, so it was set up for christmas time, the Great Hall was beautiful and seeing the castle in snow was great. I didn’t buy my ticket, as it was a christmas present. The ticket cost £50. Which I thought was very expensive. Loved the whole visit, although the cost is a bit eye watering. My biggest grip was the cost of everything once you got inside. Every experience, for example the photo shots on the broom or on the train to the cost of the merchandise was extortionate, a Christmas tree decoration started at £10, this was also the price of a chocolate frog, with some merchandise was over £100. I brought the cheapest thing I could find, a small poster for £4 and a pen.
JK obviously has not made enough money yet!
I would like to add that, while some of the staff did look totally fed up and unapproachable, most were friendly and knowledgeable about the section they were in.
I would still visit again, which is why the prices can be kept as high as they are, people will go back.
As for the “influencer”, it sounds like she was expecting a theme park, when it is what it says, a studio tour, meaning sets from the making of the films. Maybe she should have read up on what she was getting a free ride into.

  41. D2D

I also went with my sister. It was boring and ridiculously high priced and definitely not worth the price. The food was not edible. Complete waste of time and money. We found it very disappointing.

    1. Clearly did not take the time to experience and look at all the exhibits of the tour museum, of course it will be expensive its a world wide franchise so is Thorpe Park THEME PARK, but the tour isn’t a attraction its showing how the films were made and you have basically slated the entire teams that worked hard to create those films as that tour shows all their hard work so you might as well say the films are rubbish to

  42. Fran

I think people need to be aware it is more akin to a type of museum rather than a theme style park. I loved it as I adore the HP books so found it really interesting. I did say at the time of visiting that the staff on Diagon Alley and other areas should have been in costume and more performative – surely that could be done at not vast expense (!). It would have made the whole experience more memorable and brought an extra aspect to the tour. It’s an expensive trip but we enjoyed it but think there’s more scope to make it a tiny bit more magical.

  43. Carlene

No actual fan would be disappointed by this tour. You get to experience so much of the wizarding world, including the great hall, diagon alley, gringotts bank, privet drive and so many more sets! Yes, there are costumes. There are also props, graphics, photo ops and behind the scenes areas. There are several shops along the way carrying a large variety of merch. I visit WB Tours London every year, and for any real fan it is a must-see!

  44. Jojo

This is not a theme park. There is no coasters, no dark rides inside.

She didn’t read the websites or what ? It display the props and costumes in an impressive and interactive way, with some details about it. It’s filled with movie magic.

This is truly an awesome experience, but it is not a theme park.

    1. Peggyann

Harry Potter is a ride me and my family when back in 2019 and rode it. It was magical and an unforgettable moment.

  45. Matthew

I have been to the Harry Potter Studio Tour twice when I was living in the UK. It’s NOT a theme park but I found the experience enjoyable on both occasions. I was more disappointed coming out of the Studio Tour and having to deal with the “real” world. 😢

  46. Tim C

I can’t comment on this tour but the one I took at Universal Studios in Orlando was aces!

  47. Penny

So…Her takeaway was that she doesn’t like paying for transport, doesn’t like looking at museums, can’t appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into costumes and practical effects, would rather watch a video than have an actual experience if she can’t film it for her socials, and that that’s all somehow the fault of the tour. Ok lol.

  48. Nicola

Ridiculous, it isn’t a theme park, it’s a chance to see the real sets, costumes, props and see how many of the visual effects were done, the concept art, the models, the creation process – theresso much to see! The shop has a lot of great merch and the wand room had a member of staff in that literally knew every single name printed in there and where it was and had interesting information about them all. It was crazy! Not just the main cast either, he pointed at them instantly using a laser pen. The staff were great. I went in 2015 and they’ve added a lot more since then. Me and my boyfriend expected to take 2/3 hours looking around but spent pretty much the entire day! It’s easy to get to from London Euston using the train and then you can get the Studio tour bus from the station.

  49. Kelly Covey

I really enjoyed the tour. It’s a studio. Not a theme park with rides. Not sure what she was expecting. Also, while pricey, the restaurant had the best mac and cheese I’ve ever eaten. Did we even go to the same place?

  50. zgillet

    Is @foodguidelondon American?

  51. David

The fact that you are FUMING about spending money on a Harry Potter Tour, it really says a lot about you. Most people that are FUMING, is because they can’t afford a place to live or food for the family or literal WAR going on outside. You disgust me. Go make your own Harry Potter walkthrough and walk through that garbage and just shut up.

I took my two kids (9 and 10) and we had an amazing time. Being on the actual film sets was magical. My daughter chatted for half an hour with a member of staff about the different magical sweets, and she bought out props to show us. Gringots bank and the dragon blew us all away. Incredible memories. Food and butter beer were rubbish, but we had sandwiches.

  53. Whoever said it wasn’t worth it has no comment to make of course food, drinks will be expensive any attraction of this size will be. I have been 4 times to the London tour and still enjoy every time, yes photos are expensive but I’m not interested jn that you need to take in every little detail and how much work had been put in to the scenes, costumes, mechanics, robotics and all other parts of the movies, personally the people commentating just walked round, didn’t actually take the time to fully experience the day and what it really has on show, it’s the same Disney land Paris it never changes much, expensive food but I’ve been over 15 times because I enjoy it as it makes me feel part of it, so I say the same for the London Harry Potter experience, own the experience and look into the finer details you basically slating all the hard work done by the film makers by dissing the tour.

  54. John

Ok. A Didney-owned site criticizes a rival Theme park. Biased, much?!

  55. Hazel

Myself and my daughters have visited 5 times. We have seen a lot of changes over the years we have visited and we have never been disappointed. We travel from the North East of England so it’s not cheap as we have to pay for hotels as well. Everytime we have visited it has been extremely busy and people come from all over the world. This “influencer” as she calls herself didn’t even pay for her own ticket!!! Maybe she should just be grateful she got to see it for free.

  56. rteker

Influencer aka a NOBODY. NEVER listen to these nobodies as they THINK they are important but are just wanna-be vlogers who expect a lot of freebees and compensations.

  57. Mark Dadson

My partner and I had a fantastic day there. Staff were lovely. It was great fun not at all boring

  58. TW

She is a Londoner, not an American. But you certainly proved your own point about spreading unnecessary drama!

  59. Trisha Grether

I was 78 when I went two years ago. I loved it. I felt I was right there on the movie. I loved you could walk around and take pictures inside the train ,the house his stair room, the car and experience the broom and flying . I would love to go back .

  60. KING

This is just a spoiled kid who points out several times how she didn’t pay for the ticket. Be happy that you actually could go and visit the place! Looks like she’s never been in a museum either. Go watch YouTube. You’re definitely not an influencer, lame wannabe.

  61. Serena

Love the studio tour, have been twice and will go again.
This person sounds like they wanted the thrill of rides rather than a studio tour where the actual films were filmed and to learn about what goes into making such a massive production and all the people that takes.
Truthfully I think her review is ridiculous, there is plenty to see and do there for fans and it’s different to what is offered anywhere else in the world and that’s what makes it special.
Maybe considering her poor her actual review is, she should spend a little more time reading… maybe then she’d enjoy the tour more.

  62. Sharon

I think the writer of this piece must have gone to a different attraction. Harry Potter experience is not a theme park, its an inside at the making of HP, sets, how they did scenes, etc. Myself ,mother and friend went in Oct – we are all 60 and over, and we thought it was fantastic. Okay food not good and merchandise overpriced but the whole staging and sets, 10/10.

  63. Bobbie

YOUR ALL CRAZY ILOVED IT AND MY DAUGHTER WENT BACK 3 MOREX AND EXPECTS TO GO BACK MORE. The only issue I have is not being able to use my 100 a piece wands time and time again. I bought 5

  64. RK5

If you go expecting a theme park, you are bound to be disappointed.
If you go knowing that you can get a reasonably up close look at what makes the magic, along with seeing the intricate details in set pieces and costume, then you will have a blast.
I found the whole experience to be incredibly enjoyable both times, and I haven’t even seen the latest additions!
I cannot fathom being a travel vlogger and not having the foresight to research what you are about to do, then slamming on it for 4 videos for not being what you imagine, when every ounce of information (including location and travel expectations) is available at the push of a button.

  65. Keir

I have zero interest in Harry Potter but took my students there on a school trip. I thought it was absolutely brilliant! Loads of super interesting things, even for a non-fan. Perhaps it’s not enough for a superfan, but it’s hardly an awful experience.

  66. Kp

We have been twice and enjoyed it both times. The food is nothing special but that’s not what we were there for. Not sure what she expected but the add ons priced separately is common in US parks so not a big deal for us.

  67. DsnyMom

I hope her TikToks don’t “influence” Harry Potter fans away from this wonderful studio tour. It was amazing seeing all the costumes, props and sets from the films. We LOVED it!

  68. Meryl Biszick

The Harry Potter sections of Universal were the only ones worth seeing for those of us who are no longer young and don’t enjoy roller coasters. I loved it!!

  69. Strayski

I try and go every year. Its come along way since it was opened (having watched HP being filmed there from my work window!) and have always seen it as a behind the scenes tour rather than a theme park. Love the place. (The canteen food is a bit bad though lol). As a local its made watford interesting abit at least

  70. Jeff

It’s all been said here, but I feel compelled to share my perspective.
If you are looking for thrill rides, mascots in costumes, stunt shows, and fancy restaurants… this is NOT the place for you.
If you are simply interested in HP, memorabilia, film used sets and props, art, how it’s made, behind the scenes, design, special effects, make up and cosmetics, mold making and much more (all with photo ops)… this IS the place for you.
I traveled with my family from the states to the UK this year, and this was one of our highlights. I have been endlessly inspired by what I experienced at this studio tour. This is a truly magical compilation of beautifully preserved artifacts and immersive experiences from the films.
I found myself to be awestruck, inspired and ultimately overwhelmed with emotion at the finale.
I hope to have another opportunity to visit beautiful England (and Scotland) again as this attraction will be a guaranteed revisiting for me.

  71. Elena

My family and I went last summer and loved it! It was totally worth the money and I would go again.

  72. Squiresly

Sound like shes salty she voulfnt film in later psrts of the psrk. Thought she was getting free content for her tiktok lol

  73. Mike

I loved my experience your just a liberal who mad at JK for being truthful

  74. James

Genuinely think they are only moaning for the likes, the magic is all there and for those generations that grew up with it 20 years ago it’s a stunning studio tour.

  75. Russ

I’d concur wholeheartedly. A colossal waste of both time and money. I’m not sure it’s worth 10£ let alone 50£. I was done with it about 3 minutes in.

Stay clear and save your money.

  76. Neil

    News just in.

A bratty “influencer” moans about not being able to record and make money off the back of someone else’s work.

The Harry Potter experience in London is amazing. Don’t let this self serving social “influencer” put you off.

Took 2 of my kids year before last, and planning another trip next year so the youngest can enjoy it.

  77. Bruce Attenborrow

Don’t know what their problem was. I visited with my 2 young daughters and we had a fantastic time. I get the impression nothing impresses them. My only tip is to ignore any of the paid photo ops as the image quality is terrible (they state the images are only for sharing on social media). The cost really isn’t worth it. Apart from that, we spent about 4 hours there and we’d definitely go back.
