Though Tiana is a welcomed breath of fresh air it’s sad to see a beloved ride such as Splash take the dark spotlight of such scrutiny.
Splash has never been problematic until 2020.
Disney isn’t about PC or inclusion, this is about an optical illusion they want to show saying “they fit in to a crowd that cries”
Since Song of the South has not been publicly shown in almost 37 years it has become forgotten by a vast majority. The characters of Splash may be from the movie but the segments of the ride are not raising questions of where is the movie. It floats along the lines of a ride such as a merry go round, it’s there and it has characters just like the horses that giddyup going round and round but nobody asks the horses names, nobody cares because it’s a fun ride with an ageless story of characters from African American history.

To debate that Tiana having her own ride and keeping Splash is the same as saying a water fountain for whites and one for black is the summary of it is laughable.
These are 2 tales, one delivered from Africans and the other a European tale which Disney race swapped the fair princess and turned her into a hard working young lady who became cursed after kissing a frog.. (I love the fresh spin)
The actors who portrayed these characters from Splash are gone but they still have families that cherish the ride along with MILLIONS of others. In every voting pool online the scale tips in the favor of keeping Splash Mountain and producing for Tiana her own unique ride or experience that is tailored to her story.
Despite the hype from the minority, wanting Tiana to overthrow Splash its become clear that this is nothing more than pandering at its finest.. if Splash must be rethemed why not do it in 1 Park and leave it say at Walt Disneyland as an exclusive, as that is where the original voice of Nick Stewart the voice of (Brer Bear) is at.

This country refuses to face its past and sweeps it inder the rug in a rush to forget.

If we bring our past into the light, look at it from every aspect we might be able to see how far we have come and just how much further we have to go.

The silent majority and myself agree with you 100%! It’s a ride with little critters and a song. Most younger people have no idea there even was a movie. Your comment was perfect.

It’s really sad to see Disney continue to cave in to PC bull****. Splash Mountain is a great, iconic ride. There’s nothing racist about it. The movie itself isn’t even racist. Ridiculous.

      Scott is absolutely correct!!!

brought to mind by the closing of Splash Mountain: when the MK train started up, part of the narration included mention of Splash Mountain. Wonder what the narration will be now since Splash Mountain’s gone. Will miss seeing the Splash Mountain showboat from the train as it pulls into the station.

Only children and minorities will want to ride the new one.
