More social judgment and manipulation by Disney…surprise. I don’t smoke but there is no “reasonable” justification to make people completely leave to smoke. They have lost a lot of visitation I bet.

Actually, there is plenty of justification, as many are highly allergic to cigarette smoke and some to the point it is considered a disability, so in order to remain ADA compliant, they had little choice without some massive redesigns that would have ensured there would always be a path around the smoking areas where the wind would never blow the smoke. Some other parks have figured out how to do this, but Disney parks are too complicated.

Personally, I wish they wouldn’t even allow smoking products into the parks, the new security scanners they have at WDW could be configured to detect Tabacco and vaping products, I think they should and these products prohibited from the parks entirely.

Who cares. Smoking is disgusting. I rather keep those people out

I was just in Disneyland Paris a few weeks ago, and although it’s against the rules, many people smoke and vape wherever they feel like it outside. So I don’t know how much that will change

  3. It should be allowed at all the parks. It is outdoors. More than 1/4 of Americans smoke. And a larger percentage of foreign visitors. This discourages a lot of people from visiting. And the decision to eliminate these very small areas from the parks went along with decision to eliminate benches which discourages older guests from visiting. All designed to maximize square footage and cram more guests in the parks which detracts from all visitors’ Disney experience.

It should absolutely not be allowed?

I can definitely say that having smoking sections so far away from parks is adding to the violence occurring within the parks. I’ve been a nicotine addict for over 30 years. When I went to the parks recently, my aggression levels became extremely high due to nicotine withdrawals. I ended up fighting on Facebook from Disneyland. It wouldn’t surprise me if they found that half the physical altercations were withdrawal related. It’s something that should be studied.

While we are at it. Let’s BAN ALL ALCOHOL TOO!!! More problems occur from alcohol. NOT A DAMN CIGARETTE
