It’s clear Disney never thought it through past how much more money they could make off us. If they must continue with Lightning Lane, they should run it like they do those with disabilities. Run them through in groups at a time. LL means you get through the line faster, not first. Those waiting have paid a handsome price to do more than stand in line as LL users keep coming through.
I worked at Disney over 20 years ago near the time fast pass was being debated. I predicted then that greed would consume Disney with this supposedly “free” service. It took awhile but sadly I was right. Old school queue plus FREE reservations is the only way to go. But get used to the Disney Greed
We were at Epcot today and the lightening lane genie plus is ridiculous! We waited two hours for Ratatouille in the stand by line and we were literally standing most of the time. When we finally got towards the front of the line they took a group of about 20 lightening lane then our group of 3 then 20 more lightening lane then a group of 6 from stand by. Ridiculous! It made the whole Disney experience miserable!
Because of the addition of the fast pass, then the lightning line, and almost total unavailability of accommodations for people with disabilities, I have not returned since, nor do I plan to in the future. Not only have I lost the Disney Magic, so has the Disney Parks.
Just went to Disneyland today and it was horrible!! We will not be going back. Waited too long in the standby lane. If we had known we would have to pay more to get on rides faster, we would not have gone. Our ticket already cost $169 for one day pass and wait times were crazy. Not worth going anymore. Bye Mickey. ☹️
