I think it would be great to return to the Original Concept of the ride while using modern technology and new story telling techniques with it, a nice mix of old and new and keep Figment going for a long time to come.
Agree:
Journey Into Imagination needs to revert back to the original version (1982 Epcot)….Nostalgia fans will love it….Younger gnerations, well thats to be decided…However younger generations have discovered vinyl records…Each generation has a way od discovering what was cool and hip from past generations…its just a matter of time.
Some fans will be happy if it changes…Some wont…You cant please every single person every single time…thats just life itself…
On a sidenote Epcot should be brought back to the classic 1982 Epcot. Test Track and Mission Space (OMG Thowing Up) should be reverted to World of Wheels and Horizons.
Soarin should end its run and bring back Kitchen Cabaret and or Food Rocks.
Wonders of Life can be revitalized with the Inside Out Character or be turned into Monsters Inc.
Disney has missed the boat on the notion…that the old nostalgia attractions could have remained in place and just updated touches here and there through out the years, but as not to completely overwhelm and or introduce a whole new attraction.
Many Disney attratctions have stood the test of time with minimal modern day updates implemented. There is a cost saving technique there. Use what you have as a strong foundation, with minmal.updates to reflect modern era.
Again we see cost waste. Why were Innoventions pavilions torn down? They were good structures and should have been kept in place as a solid foundation to changeover.
