This really stinks. Ironic thing is most people seem to oppose the change and there is as much push inside the company against it. But they are going to do it anyway.

Woke Iger will be remembered as the man that destroyed Disney.

Many will applaud him for it – if only at the kinds of private events him and his ilk attend.

Just one more reason to move beyond Disney. Evryone looks at Chap[ek and Iger LOOK AT THE BOARD!!!!!
An elitist group decides that the culture and country of their birth is evil, that they wuill impose their will on people and then destroys it – wow that never happened before in history – except China, Europe, Russia and it worked out so well. Disney and Spalsh are the tip of the iceburg. And lazy people that are against this – do nothing and say nothing becuase they don’t want to upset theri cushy lifestyle. Think of it – erasing the theatrical and musical accomplishments of black actors/actresses becuase of racsim? Do you realize how twisted that is? Done with Disney…….

Did anyone know that in 2005 they made a cartoon movie of Brer Rabbit voiced by Nick Cannon.

    2. Marie

The Brer characters are actually from African folk tales.

Award winning song, yet Disney wants to do away with it? Tell me again, why?
Tell me why Disney would not want to celebrate Song of the South. A person of color was still not considered an equal in 1946. Disney chose to buck the system at the time and make a movie with black talent. Now they want to banish that achievement? I don’t understand, especially since there really is a good message in the film.

The confusion of it all makes me sad.

“….whimsical lyrics and POSITIVE message. What’s even more disappointing is the HISTORY behind the song’s original performance might also be erased in the process.”

This is what happens when leftists want to completely eradicate things with their narrow minded, scorched earth ways of thinking. But hey, its all in the name of “progress”. *Eye roll*

Their stock is only going to sink lower than before. Failure has been rising.

This only going to make them lose more money than they already have.

Has anybody actually seen “Song of the South”, besides me? What’s the problem? What’s next, “Gone With the Wind”, etc.

  9. Mason

Song of the South made James Baskett (Uncle Remus) the first African American to win an Oscar. Kind of ironic.

Actually, Hattie McDaniel was the first for her role as “Mammy”.

She won best supporting, I believe.

Hey Disney…..You DO realize that these characters and the stories are based on folktales from AFRICA and brought here by the slaves as part of their heritage. …..RIGHT???? Nothing like wiping out someone’s history to be PC. And it’s the history f those you claim to be respecting.

Oh…and the Princess and the Frog…? Well….you might want to double check the story. I think you have a few things wrong, based on the history of it.

    Nice going…..
