Perhaps there are other species of giant spiders besides acromantulas. There had to be spiders for aragog to mate with and I’d think regular ones would be too small
You don’t have to worry about video game changing lores & things like that because this project is not done by JK Rowling herself & if you go to the Warner Bros Hogwarts Legacy website they even said in their FAQ section JK is not involved in the creation of this game her team however work with them on things but since Jk not on it herself I don’t consider this game cannon & not even the Curse Child is cannon so in my opinion this game changing nothing it just a game doing it own thing 🤔🤟🏾
Sure, maybe it’s a different species of giant spider, like others have suggested, but I’m more concerned that the game itself is taking place in the 1800s. That’s basically a deal-breaker for me, and probably a fair number of other fans, too.
If it’s set in the 1800s, that means that memorable and iconic characters aren’t included, because they weren’t alive in the 1800s.
What if we wanted to see tiny little Flitwick topple off the books he stands on? Or if we wanted to have to guess which candy is the password to get into the Headmaster’s office? Or if we wanted to be called a dunderhead by Snape?
The characters inside Hogwarts are just as important as the castle itself, and I’m now completely disinterested in this game.
While not 100% a deal breaker for me, it is a little bit of a downer. I still can’t skip out on it though, I’d never be able to do that.
We could still see at least Flitwick though? Don’t goblins live for a super long time, compared to humans anyway? I don’t know if its mentioned anywhere how long he’s been a teacher though? Its been a decade since I read the books and the movies don’t touch on any of this so I’m probably wrong
Both book and film paint the picture of Hagrid being given an egg from “the pocket of a traveler”. So yes, we do know aragog came from elsewhere, but this doesn’t mean the species originated with him…..
First off, no other dark wizards??? The entire malfoy line, black line, lestrange, every single death eater or grindelwald follower were dark wizards…. mentions of le fay and a handful of other ‘famous’ people not withstanding, what?
2ndly, while it is stated aragog came to Hagrid in the pocket of a traveler, who’s to say aragog was the first giant spider in the area? Species often exist in places, and are run extinct. Aragog could have been a zoo specimen or private collection piece that restarted a clan. Never know.
3rd, everyone is still going to buy this game. Cannon or not. Rowling approved or not. The fundamental idea of the universe, going to wizard school and doing your own thing in a half ass open world(doubt u can go to any location that doesn’t start with hogs) its going to be a best seller, and would have been even if it hadn’t cashed in on the HP franchise name. I already pre-ordered as I’m sure most everyone reading this have. Some spiders being in the woods?? Yeah real game ruining……..

Flitwick isn’t a goblin! The actor who played flitwick also played Griphook the goblin in the movies, but Flitwick is a different character.
