I’m sorry. But not even close to being the actor Johnny is, and never will be. He adds no depth to the characters he has played. And for sure will never be remembered for any of them. Johnny takes a role and brings it to life, he becomes the characters he portrays, and the viewers “feel” that character.
When ever I see Depp in a movie it feels like the same character he has played for decades. I would say Depp is not very good and his movies aren’t as enjoyable as Dwayne Johnson’s. Love Dwayne Johnson, he is a great funny guy and Depp added comic relief to the PotC franchise. But, Depp was a swashbuckling, shorter, slim guy. The Rock is much taller and nearly twice Depp’s weight, an intimidating opponent for most, he would not suit the part of Capt. Jack Sparrow at all.

I am confuted, I am a big Johnny Depp fan and he is a perfect pirate for that, I can’t imagine changing the character in the middle of the story kind of messes up the story for the imagination but I would love to see the new actor as a pirate he’s sexy as he can be and that would be a new one for him to add to his portfolio so I say whatever comes it is what it is I think it’ll still be a great show of character prayers for Johnny Depp
