No he was Absolute garbage as black Adam

  2. Bill

No. Dwayne Johnson is so over-exposed. He’s in every other movie that gets released. So effing tired of this dude. He needs to go away for a few years.

    1. Veronica

I so agree! He’s really not all that. The part that really got me was when they said he was taking over Johnny Depp role in the pirates of the Caribbean. Bill I agree with you.

When did they say that? Could you provide a link.

Please no just don’t he’s to over rated, unless they make him a villan that gets killed he is just to over exposed most people are tired of seeing him in movies thats why BLACK ADAM tanked at the box office i knew it would as soon as i heard he was in the movie! He puts a clause in his contracts that he can’t be beat up in the movie he’s such a DEVA he’s a good actor but his over exposure ruins movies!!!

You knew 15 years ago when the movie was announced and he was attached to it? Please…

Its not a terrible idea like most people think it is. He is one of the biggest actors in the world so that will elevate a movie based on that. These movies aren’t made for us hardcores that will go see anything marvel related opening night, its to draw in new fans as well and make a ton of money. Having a huge star like the rock is the way to do it, just gotra find the right role because a guy like him and his ego will need top billing, first or second, no less. Black Adam failed because DC fans (me included) are snobs and didn’t even like the idea initially plus it took 14 years to get off the ground. Having the Rock in Marvel will elevate the franchise.

    1. Comic OG

Nope. You saw it fail on DC. It’s not about the actors. It’s the characters No comic fan cared about Black Adam.

  5. Mike

Can we have him as a blown in guardians off the Galaxy? I’m sure Groot will love seeing him!

  6. The Rock is so MCU material seems when it comes to DC Comics and all the things that happened in that company it’s always not the right direction Henry Cavill leaving and The Rock and they know where to go MCU is the place with their phases and everything is just perfect every all the movies are amazing

C’mon… this guy is in every movie… its getting old. Sadly he won’t be around for much longer if he keeps blasting test, tren and d bal

  7. BLACK ADAM WAS GREAT the CRITICS DOWN PLAY THIS GOOD MOVIE THE FANS LUV IT Dwayne Johnson will do much better over in the MCU. DC needs to divorce WARNER BROTHERS and LET Disney take over the DCU🤔

  8. Nk

This would be the worst decision for the MCU don’t ruin another franchise

  9. Pedant

    Who is Keving Hart

When the title says “Dwayne Johnson jumps ships, joins mcu” but the article states he’s not. . .learn to be better.

Let me just say.. . I LOVED Black Adam. Saw it three times in the theater and once recently on HBO Max.

Not sure why it got all the hate, he played the character perfectly in line with how Black Adam has been portrayed in the comics.

It was one of the true comic book adaptations I have seen in recent years.

I also have enjoyed every DC movie since Man of Steele with the exception of Wonder Woman 1984. That one was a real stinker.

Wish James Gunn well, but I also must say I am done with DC. I don’t want a reboot. I’d like it if they finished some story arks. Why get invested in anything Gunn does because given the studio’s history, he’s going to reboot, get new story arks started aaannnd they’ll just fire him, not finish anything and reboot again.

And sorry James, I am not at all interested in another take on young superman as a fledgling reporter. We’ve had thst a bazillion times. Revees Superman had him just starting out as a reporter. Then there is 10 seasons of Smallville, several seasons of SuperBoy, and how many episodes of Lois and Clark?? I may watch it on streaming when I don’t have to pay additional to see it, but I will never spend an additional dimen to watch it.

This has been the rumor, probably started by DC fans feeling burned by the DC purge. The same thing has been said about Cavill. I can see this happening eventually. I wonder why it hasn’t already happened? But he’s going to have to actually act! I read a hilarious quote about Johnson, “he’s the same guy in every movie”. It’s the truth. He put on a hoodie and he’s Black Adam. No voice change, no makeup, nothing!

  13. Grand Negus

He was FIRED. Don’t change the narrative.

  14. Micah

I also think Black Adam was a good comic book adaption to the screen and the reason it tanked is because of all the haters and hold ups due to covid19. The Rock is a solid actor and it’s not his fault Hollywood is sweating him for every other movie.

  15. Painsmash

    He’s not jumping ship… He was fired.😂

    That movie sucked.

  16. Romondo

I say no. I like the rock but he doesn’t need to be in the MCU. He has a way of wanting everything to be about him. And I doubt he would agree to being beat up or killed off as a villain
