The ride is not problematic. What IS problematic is that people cannot handle ANYTHING anymore and are destroying everything that came before them that they do not approve of. Tony Baxter John Stone et al created a FANTASTIC atttraction that IS Iconic and SHOULD REMIAN. Iger, the rank and file in control AND the board – all woke liberal pukes have destroyed a company. just imagine Disney Studios geared up to Assist the AMerican war effort – now this same gaggle of idiots would work against the country. and if you have your panties in a know over the “horrific” issues of slavery – GET OVER IT! People have been enslved since the beginning of time – including my ancestors. What IS amazing is that the United States AND Great Britain corrected their sin and dedicated sailors and soldiers lives to eradicating it. Oh and by the way – you know what – Africans sold other Africans into slavery – they had then in cages on the beach. But now thy make movies about that tribe about how fierce the femakle warriors were. Yah facts are stubborn things aren’t they.

Hey, here’s a thought… if you find it offensive, don’t ride it!

Not quite sure why they call this ride splash mountain. I wrote it once as a kid when I went to Disney World, and we set an alarm for two hours, rode the coaster and ended up not even getting a drop of water on us at the bottom I was very disappointed. Hopefully you guys have fix that since then.

The current Disneyland version has the nickname “Soak Mountain” because you can and will get very very wet riding it. I rode it in summer and let’s just say that even the 100-degree SoCal temps meant I was wet for several hours.

If Disney wants a Princess and The Frog ride, go build one! But leave our NON-Problematic Splash Mountain, as it is! I thought we wanted Diversity?

I will miss splash mountain. I agree with comment if you are offended by the ride don’t ride it. Keep splash mountain and build a separate princess and the frog ride. Disney going woke is ruining their company. I enjoyed the movies of UP, inside out, and toy story. However, I will not watch buzz light-year and strange new world to affect my children’s minds. The wokeness is disappointing.

If this is a done deal, why ask the question. This was my favorite ride but now I’ll just go to universal. The magic is gone at Disney anymore.

My thoughts exactly… we’ve been regulars since the early 2000’s… Prices are way up and the Magic is way down.. We’ve had our fill of Disney Wokeness… We’ll be doing Universal or just go skiing.. Sad times..

    The ride is not problematic.
Gad’s post did not call it problematic. Why are you quoting yourself or some other non-source as saying the ride is problematic because of its theming?

The wokes need to get over themselves, there is no world without offense, because all the PC woke nonsense is OFFENSIVE to the usually silent majority that tries to be nice and put up with it.

SPEND THE MONEY MAKING A BRAND NEW RIDE, NOT RE-THEMING AN OLD ONE!!!

Tiana could very well have her own ride, just expand one of the parks, or just build a new one for all the new IPs you wanna cram into it…
