  1. Nice blog, keep it up.

    1. Billy

Just leave the gay stuff out of
movies geared towards kids and the money will start rolling back in. It’s that simple.

      1. Addy

        Go woke go broke!

        1. Marcus

          That’s a silly comment.

          1. Elli

            No it’s plain truth.

          2. Ra

Actually networks that feature diversity in their media *more* than Disney are doing better financially. Check your facts.

          3. John

            Where’s your facts?

          4. Chad

Other studios don’t cater primarily to the family demographic which is Disney base.

          5. Mel

I too agree with many of you. Disney is known for making everyone feel like a kid again. If you take animationaway

          6. evb

And under Chapek, Disney catered to the groomers who like to feel up kids…

          7. Chad

Not at all.. It’s their biggest problem right now.

          8. BanAnna

Disney is doing nothing wrong. It’s trying to keep up with people. But unfortunatley in this case people are so close minded and way off the track they don’t know what matters. But they do think they are cool and understanding. It’s sad times we are living.

          9. Bryan D

“Close Minded” in that I don’t want my 11 year old sexualized and exposed to men who think they’re women. I guess I’m close minded.

          10. Cat

Admitting that you’re close minded is a step. 👍🏽

          11. germy

LOL thanks for the recognition groomer

          12. UBITbit1

We just don’t want it shoved down our throats!

          13. Spankey

I completely agree I am tired of the woke crap being shoved down my throat.

          14. Blackstar

            Agreed

        2. Kd

          Exactly. So unnecessary.

      2. JT

        Amen 🙏

      3. VLM

Leave the het stuff out, too, sicko.

        1. Josie

Cut the PEDO and putrid satanic symbols out and people might think about letting their kids watch your crap

          1. Robert

Wtf are you talking about? What satanic symbols? What films feature pedo content???

        2. Mike

          Try harder next time.
Stop with this ” Woke ” BS.
Release ALL DISNEY FILMS. INCLUDING SONG OF THE SOUTH & THE UNEDITED VERSION OF FANTASIA. People never gave WB, Tex Avery such a hard time.
The Feminist cultists have no leg to stand on ,especially if they have a 3rd leg.

          1. I agree. When did films become political targets. Archie Bunker was hysterical. Moving on up. Shows like that. Old movies from Disney should be left alone. Why does every race z and culture feel the need to have movies remade in their image. Remakes can never live up to the classical Disney Movies. Find your own style and make a movie. Leave Disney Movies alone

      4. Marcus

The gay stuff had nothing to do with Disney’s box office results. And BTW – there is nothing wrong with kids knowing about gay people.

        1. Elli

Not true. I know plenty of people who are actively not watching new movies because of it.

        2. Bobb

Young children should not be bombarded with sexual content gay or straight.

          1. Real truth

Put people in power to run the animation division like Tim Hauser, Brad Bird, John musker – guys who understand Disney Animation inside and out.

          2. VeeTHis

            How is loving someone sexual?

        3. J W

Yes, there is. It is called homoSEXUALITY for a reason. It is about who people want to have sex with, not just love. It is not for kids’ movies. Did you also notice the movies started to tank at the same time they were pushing the woke agenda…coincidence, I think not.

          1. Rice1234321

            Correlation does not imply causation

          2. KS

HeteroSEXUALITY… It’s about people who want to have sex with, not just love. You thought you did something there, but you killed your own argument before it ever got started.

        4. Hoff

True, kids can’t avoid homosexuality, the same way they can’t avoid cursing and anything else that happens at school.

But guess what parents can control? The movies they take their kids to.

My kids know what strippers are, and prostitutes, but that doesn’t mean they should see it in their movies.

Homosexuality should indeed be tolerated by all, but it will never be accepted as “normal”, the same way that having a traditional family with a mom and dad will never be considered as abnormal.

      5. Dirk

I’m not showing my kids any movie that promotes being gay. I don’t want my children thinking it is ok to be that way.
So we skipped Light-year, was going to watch Willow, not any more.
Luca is about as far as we go.

        1. Kevin

          What a ignorant comment.
“I don’t want my children thinking it is ok to be that way.”
You truly think it’s a choice?
Why, would anyone choose to live a life, that knowing your family and friends are going to tell you. “That is wrong, to be your true self”

          1. BanAnna

Omg, it is a choice, you are literally choosing who to love. It’s a so colled free will. We should learn to respect others choices. It’s that simple.

        2. Sarah

You are a sad human. I pray to God none of your children are damaged by your small mind.

        3. VeeTHis

You are a sad, pathetic human being.

      6. Kristen

        That was my first thought.

      7. Truth Hurts

It truly is. Quit pandering to the alphabet cult, especially since they are not really the ones that CREATE AND RAISE CHILDREN

        1. Shannon Sweatt⅔

          Amen to that!

      8. Shannon Sweatt⅔

Leave out the woke bs and go back to making proper children’s shows and movies and things would get better for them again!

      9. Brian

Agreed..stop the wokeness..the majority hates it

        1. FranH

You’re one person with one vote. You don’t speak for the majority

      10. Amanda

Thank you. Let’s kids be kids and stop trying to mode them to that direction

        1. FranH

You mean mold them in your direction?

        2. Jay

Ya’ know there are gay kids right? Even before people started putting gay characters into movies, there have been gay kids. They’ve existed without any external input from media corporations since forever.

So I agree, let kids be kids and show them that gay people exist, so that gay kids can feel like the world acknowledges them.

          1. Steve

Cut the fake southern routine, carpet bagging groomer.

      11. Cathy

I agree!! Let them be innocent as long as possible. Disney USED to be a moral escape for children but is now politicizing a liberal agenda. That has NO place in a child’s world. Get back to basics for children and not try to win over the adults. Believe me, we’ll still take them to a childish movie. No adult content necessary. And shame on Disney for pricing out families from your parks. Walt is spinning in his grave!

      12. Stephanie

        Agreed!

      13. Heather

Totally agree… these are freaking kids. Disney is absolutely disgusting now. Movies were great before. Now we don’t watch ANY disney movies..

      14. John S.

        Exactly!!

      15. Sean

I seen Billy has peaked with typing hateful posts.

      16. amanda

I couldn’t agree more. My family is actively avoiding movies and shows that feature that crap. Not just on Disney but wherever it creeps in.

  2. Steve

Isn’t that what Chapek tried to do?

    1. Michael Walker

Quit being woke trying to push the gay agenda. People will come back if you do

      1. Andy

Oh please Disney has been Liberal for as long as I can remember, since at least 1987. If they weren’t then they never would have based the appearance of the sea witch (ursula) on the Drag Queen known as Divine.

        1. sfcpres

Some say that Ursula was patterned for Mae West’s bad girl persona.

          1. vyktir

I can’t speak for others but I have stopped watching new Disney movies because of their interest in this woke culture. You are welcome to cater to whoever you like and if putting that content in your movies is important to you then be prepared to live or die on that sword.

          2. FranH

What sword? They are movies. While you are so concerned about Disney movies and the ‘woke’ community, try re-thinking Beauty and the “Beast”. That’s beastiality. How about Cinderella, domestic abuse, or Sleeping Beauty, poisoning. You can read anything into Disney’s movies OR just let kids enjoy them for what they are… FANTASIES!

          3. Heather

            Fantasies?? Nonthanks

          4. KS

Nope, it was based on the drag queen, Divine.

      2. VLM

You know what our “agenda” really is? To be treated like f***ing HUMAN BEINGS. That’s it. That’s all we want. YOU trash, on the other hand, keep insisting on turning us into your sick, twisted FETISH and then try to blame US for it.

It’s almost as if you are terrified that if you don’t stop LITERALLY KILLING US you’ll get back what you put out. Maybe, just MAYBE, if you actually stopped being sick, disgusting worms and treated us decently, you WOULD get back what you put out–basic respect and human decency. Do you even know what that IS?

        1. Jo

By “we” I assume you mean the LGB community? How about the fact that when the community is treated like human beings, they decide to do things like Drag Queen Road Show and do perverse things in front of children. It’s not the straight community doing this. Most people don’t care what the gay community does until it messes with our kids. Then we fight back.

          1. KS

Then don’t take your kids to a drag show. No one is telling you how to raise your kids. I was raised in a Christian home full of love and was raised to follow the words in red in my Bible. Guess what? At no point in any translation did I ever see Christ tell us to hate and pass judgement against others. So, all you are doing is teaching your children the antithesis of what you think you are teaching them. Thank God my parents taught me love and acceptance.

          2. Jay

How many drag queens did Chris Hansen expose in to Catch a Predator?

And who has been the but of kid rapping jokes since forever? Oh yeah, priests and religious leaders. They can’t get enough of them choir boys.

        2. Dirk

You can be gay all you want. Don’t promote it to my kids.
They can know what gay is, they don’t need to see it visually.
Het’s are how the world has had people for 200k years.
If the first cave men ignored women, you would not be here.

        3. germy

and that right there is a crazy lady

        4. Steve

Take your pills. You are legitimately insane.

    2. I loved Disney until it went “Woke”. I have no problem with alternatives lifestyles. It is not my place to judge. It just shouldn’t be in children’s movies. Walt Disney would not have allowed all the “Woke” inclusion in kid’s movies.

      1. VLM

Uh-huh. Sounds to me like you have PLENTY of problems with “alternative lifestyles,” aka NOT BEING STRAIGHT, and you are fetishizing us and trying to insist we aren’t allowed to be ourselves or exist in public.

        1. Bobb

“Exist” all you want. Stop trying to preach to young children. THAT is the issue.

        2. Bobb

“Fetishizing” you? You are the one demanding your sexual preferences be stuffed into young childrens movies and pushed in elementary school and middle school…. and you wonder why your called a groomer.

          1. VeeTHis

Do you even know what a groomer is? Because what you just said doesn’t fit the definition at all.

        3. J W

You mean obnoxious, over the top, trying to garner all the attention, dressing in overtly revealing clothing. Then yes. If you aren’t flamboyant, I am fine with you

      2. VeeTHis

You just contradicted yourself. If you have no problem with “alternative lifestyles”, then why shouldn’t they be in kids movies? That means you DO have a problem with them.

    3. Tif

You’re either a troll pretending to be conservative or just a troll.

    4. Jerry

He’s the one who put all the gay and woke stuff in Disney. I don’t see him as a savior. He might even double down and make things worse. Walt is spinning in his grave.

    5. Anonymous

Dream on pal. You’re blindly putting your faith in the wrong man. Iger will never save the company, he never has. The stock sunk lower since he returned. You forget? He started this mess in the first place before Chapek took over.

    6. Anonymous

Guess again. You’re blindly putting your faith in the wrong man. Iger will never save the company, he never has. The stock sunk lower since he returned. You forget? He started this mess in the first place before Chapek took over.

  3. Royz

    Learn from History…Disney History….

As with Walt and his brother Roy, one who is creative and one who is business, so should it be now. Business is Iger, and creative (well yet to be named) to get the studio out of the well they are in.

    And,
Listen to the fans (Marvel, Star Wars, Classic Disney, etc..) Do not bow to social/ political bandwagon trends…this is Disney here, have been always the top tier, without needing to please politically correctness…

Too many Hollywood types now that want to interject real world drama into fantasy storytelling.

    1. Miranda

The problem with Iger is that he doesn’t see what he’s doing as being “political” he firmly believes that he is doing the right thing. Just like any other villain in history.

      1. Craig

I completely agree. You nailed Iger! Ast. IMHO Disney will continue to rot down the “woke brick road.”

  4. Pocho Villa

    Get Woke, go broke!

  5. Sharon

Go back to basics. Travel the world a bit, like Walt used to do. Find a magical story filled with characters you can breathe life into. Give them an adventure children and adults want to follow. Throw in some family-friendly laughs, and watch the good times roll. And with those characters, there should be a connection for everyone… a hero, a friend, a villain, the rescued. Disney made their mark on the world using a classic formula, and quite honestly, those of us who consider ourselves true fans never grew tired of it. Give us more of what you know we already love.

    1. Mr Daryl-Rhys Taylor

They did that just last year with Encanto.

  6. Easy fix!!! Bring back Johnny Depp as Captain Jack in Pirates and it will be the biggest blockbuster film of all time. You could even pay Depp his millions and his Alpacas and still make a profit in the billions. The world would line up in droves to see Johnny again in his iconic role!!!

  7. Former California passholder

It’s pretty simple, really. Disney is no longer a brand you can unconditionally trust when it comes to your children. In their efforts to be more “inclusive”, they’ve alienated a large part of their traditional audience. They have to rebuild trust.

    1. Former California passholder

Just saw a preview for the coming Disney movie “Elemental” and immediately wondered how woke it is. Not a good sign if a parent has to think about that.

      1. Tia

Agreed! Elemental may actually be family friendly, but Disney has lost my trust so much that I don’t plan to take my kids to this right now.

  8. Justin

Go woke, go broke. I have two daughters and all modern Disney offerings are rated NC17 in my home. I refuse to spend money on disneys woke adgenda. I am not alone.

  9. Gregory

If 90% of your audience who buys Disney year after year are conservative religious. Make conservative products. Now HBO audience is very non religious and not afraid of anything. Imagine HBO made a Rated G kids movie. 100% sure it would flop as the audience is expecting more hard-core material. You can’t ever get 100% of the population to buy your product. Don’t blow up your 90% of your base, trying to make 10% happy. End up losing 50% trying to make an extra 10%. He needs to tell this to his employees. We make conservative products, doesn’t mean you have to be conservative. It does mean you need to not attack the hand that employs you, as in it is customers

    1. Tammi

You hit that right on the money!! I now have to worry about Disney and my grandchildren. I have no problem with the “alternative life style,” many of my friends are gay and/or trans, but I don’t want to explain these things while watching Disney entertainment with my grandchildren.

  10. Alan

If I go see a movie with my kid and I get green agend and the normalization of homo activities. I walk out and get a full refund.
I tell them why and they in almost every case they say they agree with my assessment and give me my refund.

    1. Kathy Kenney

They pat you on the head and send you on your way because there’s no way they’re go to break through your overwhelming ignorance and arrogance. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

      1. Steve

Says a deranged leftist who probably thinks Waterworld is a scientific documentary and toddlers can change their gender.

  11. Billy

Just leave the gay stuff out of movies geared toward kids and the money will start rolling back in. It’s that simple.

  12. Bill

The answer is in Disney’s past. What and who is the target market for Disney? Family and family values. It’s that simple. Disney let the inmates run the prison….1% of employees who should have been fired. Disney needs to take a stand their mission is family entertainment. If you don’t agree, there’s the door. Forget politics and whatever “woke” garbage is the flavor of the day and go back to focusing on traditional family values…..you’ll be back in no time.

  13. sfcpres

Stop preaching to your audience. If Disney wants to send a message please do it subtly, not in your face like they have been during the past decade or so. Please go back to storytelling and relatable characters. Yes the details do matter to creating a fantasy. The target audience is children with parents who will pay for entertainment. Movies aren’t made for your employees to feel good.

  14. sfcpres

If John Lasseter was still in charge of creative direction would these movies still be pushed on people? Lasseter came up in the old Disney system of film making. But cancel culture is dominant.

  15. Mark

Title says “Disney must fight back”? That sounds like Disney plans to keep shoving the woke agenda onto its customers until they accept it. They are loosing market share because the majority of their customers don’t want agendas shoved down their families throats. Sounds like they are determined to keep loosing customers until only the woke ones are left. Bad business model..

  16. Veritas

There is no cut and dry answer to this. But the truth lies between what the people are saying here.

Leave current real world situations in the real world. Most of us are sick to death of it anyways. We want an escape, something fun.

It doesn’t have to be completely original because let’s face it, most of it’s already been done. It just has to be fun.

Your not going to please everyone that is just impossible anyways. Just look back at your original works, and there are a metric ton. Think what it was that made them so special and try to recapture that magic.

Before I end this, case in point the Willow series for instance. Great work beautifully done, however the music, why?

It doesn’t matter if for instance take on me is a good song, it has no place in a movie or show like this. A good orchestra or classical piece fits best for period or fantasy films and shows, otherwise it’s just pandering to the youth and quite frankly put irritating.

  17. Daryl-Rhys Taylor

Excuse me, but didn’t just last year they had the biggest hit the world had seen in Encanto. One bad year does not spell doom. Quit stirring the pot.

  18. Edwin

That’s an easy one, take the woke out of Disney movies, the grand majority of people do not want to expose their children to this crap.

  19. Maryellen Jones

    Stop being woke

    1. Tim

I went to Disney in 2017, platinum package. Yes there was disappointment with some of the food and shops, but generally it was a good time most recently Disney has sold out to everything alphabet soup, in such case I haven’t spent ine penny and won’t unless they openly apologize for insulting 75% of Americans, if they don’t they will eventually keep cutting employees to the point they die. Just create a family fun non political agenda and probably over the next 10 years they’re grow if not you’ll see a downsizing and maybe shuttering of some parks. Just be old school Disney period

  20. From the reports I’ve heard about Disney so far, there’s been too much subtlety among the in-house staff. I see that one of the current problems within the Walt Disney Studios is that the films they have released year have either not clarified the identification of the content presented or posed uncertainty among the staff how the identification can be presented. And so it is important that they understand the content they’re sending out to the cinemas. The world has become stricken with so much complex identity from the films that it’s become impossible for them to tell originality from visualization; perhaps it should be more clarified whether there is opportunity for both those intents to collaborate….

  21. RM

The simple process of going back 100 years and starting all over again. What’s so bad about good clean movies? Children are still going to be born. Let’s give them good, clean and fresh movies that don’t deal in politics. Let’s let Walt RIP knowing that someone out there can make good animated movies with cute stories. Is that really that hard?

  22. CC

I love Disney but refuse to let my kids watch the shows/movies/cartoons with the woke content. As a parent, it’s my responsibility to teach them about it when they’re ready. If Disney wants to fix what’s broken all they have to do is go back to basics in creative content and keep their mouths shut about everything else.

  23. Gary

They need to go back to the way Walt and the animators did it years ago and make it perfect. They had great success then.

  24. Orbee

Bring back old school animation. Go back to making a memory for years to come. That’s what I grew up with. Little mermaid, the lion king, Pocahontas, Atlantis, treasure planet, toy story, Aladdin, beauty and the beast. Those have a spot in my life from when they came out. These modern films seem to push out a product and not an enjoyable movie

  25. Elmer Fudd

I know it’s retro, but do/did you ever watch Bugs Bunny cartoons.
BB is a gender fluid cross dresser that would make any Disney character blush and best as I can tell no one gave a crap about that. Just saying.

    1. Kurt

So true! Some of his funniest bits are with him in drag.
But things change. Still funny? Yes!
I can never hold cartoons/movies/tv made in the 50s to todays standards.

  26. Bible_Yoda

Get woke, go broke. My kids aren’t going to see a movie with gay groomer garbage.

  27. P

All I know is DreamWorks is killing them. Just saw the new puss n boots movie. It was awesome. It was fun, exciting, nail-biting, and wholesome. There was no woke agenda. The movie was wholesome. You all know what I mean by saying that. Disney needs to stop making the other kind of movies they’re making because everybody’s getting tired of that and they’re just going to keep losing money. No one wants to go see their movies anymore because they’re so woke.

  28. Jason

I remember the good old days of Disney before there was Animation there was Disney movies. Herbie the love bug, Flubber, and the Gnome Mobile to name a few. Disney needs to hire creative writers and animators. Get back to the golden age.

  29. Jay

Disney’s problem is not attention to detail. It’s alphabet+ themes in movies that are B at best.

  30. Bertha

Give up the gay agenda for children, don’t go woke Disney

  31. Davetherave

Let’s all face the problems with Disney movies…they are all just not good anymore. Period. The writing is pitiful and predictable. The songs are churned out and predictable as well. They really do not have animators anymore… just computer techs. Disney has forgotten that “escapism” is why we go to movies. Bad enough with all the problems on the world that they have to interject those themes into what should be 90 minutes of ” just sit back and enjoy”. Dreamworks and Illumination make a ton of new animated movies that are well written, witty, and just a joy to watch. Learn from them! No “we have to educare our audience”…just plain fun movies to enjoy.
For the record, it was Iger that greenlit the current bunch of movies that Disney has been releasing.
I really could care less about Disney anymore. We live in Florida and have been to the parks only twice since it is such a hassle to go there now. Fights and arguments are abundant there now, and I want no part of that either.
Therefore, what Iger needs is someone like me that actually remembers Disney’s core values and goes back to them…like well wriiten scripts, a hero that is good as well as a villian that is just bad to the bone…good songs…HAND DRAWN ANIMATION…and leave out that which contributes nothing to a wholesome and fun movies again.
As a sidenote…what is Disney a share going for the days?

  32. Chuck

    Stop being woke. Problem solved.

  33. Ra

Diversity sells, but it’s controversial. So aside from that? Embrace the fact that most people, including children ages 6-11, Disney’s target audience, want accessible serialized shows. Movies can be fewer and further in between with more work/time/money put into them to get box office smashers like Frozen, but what’s going to bring in loyal subscribers and viewers are shows that have over arching plots and offer more substance than goofy slapstick humor. The most successful shows with the strongest followings these days are serialized, on and off Disney Channel.

Since all these garbage movies were green lit when Bob Iger was still CEO, it isn’t a smart idea rehiring the man that caused disney to fail so badly. Weird how you forgo to mention this common knowledge.

Chapek green lit a few movies, with non released, I believe.

Current Disney treats us (and their own staff aka cast members) like children, trying to “teach” us not to hate others. Really? They are actually attracting a different audience. Walt Disney wanted to teach broad, family audiences. Now they are just trying to make a point.

    1. Steve

They only taught me to hate them.

  36. Carol

Go back to the early Disney days, when one of the goals was family-friendly programming. I used to watch Disney movies without hesitation because I knew what I was getting – films that were beautifully drawn, entertaining, amusing, positive, and uplifting. After Walt’s death, the films when through a dark period with many dark colors, witchcraft, scary elements, etc. Things would get resolved, but you left the theater disturbed rather than joyful. They came through that dark period, but I’m never sure what I will get. Now I only go to a Disney movie after research, not just because it’s Disney, like back when I knew I could trust them to be a delightful delivery of great character messages and uplifting virtues. I miss the old Disney and don’t trust today’s Disney. They became rather schizophrenic after Walt’s death, whereas he had a clear idea of what Disney stood for. They need to decide who they are and stand on that. And I hope they decide, once again, that Disney is the company that brings hope and joy to all, providing experiences that the whole family can enjoy together.

I took my kids to see Strange World. It used to be that you could just go see Disney movies as a family and not worry about what’s in it. But not anymore, I learned my lesson. You can’t just assume that Disney is kid friendly anymore.

  38. St. Helens

Leave off the sociopolitical stuff. Keep it clean an innocent like the old films.

  39. Rick

Garbage quality lately. Feels lile Cartoon Network.

  40. April Moss

Stop remaking movies. I like most of the live action movies from cartoons, but it shows no imagination. If you can at least balance that out with some animated features, maybe that would help.
As far as the parks go, stop nickel and diming everything! Bring back the Disney Dining Plan. Bring back FastPass, or at least make it so you can reserve the Genie when you make your reservations for the parks, instead of having to wait that day. Remember that Walt Disney wanted the parks to be open to everyone, and not just the upper class.

  41. JF

I cancelled my Disney+ and Hulu subscription and refused to watch Lightyear or any Disney movie promoting gay and woke ideology. I also divested of Disney stocks since what happened in Florida. I also won’t go to any Disney parks or buy Disney products anymore. I used to love this company but not anymore.

  42. John

Disney needs to stop promoting their woke agenda and return to family principles. Only then will they have family audiences return to the theater.

  43. AH

Igee is woke so the movies will reflect that. It also means that my family will not watch them

  44. Sáne

Listen yall…. Disney started declining when it’s basic Animated films and the Studio began to focus more on Social Issues of the time.

Unfortunately, when they get involved they inadvertently choose political sides. The “creators” of these Animations inserted their personal “agenda” with the content of the Animations resulting in offensive and hurtful practices, beliefs and language which affected countries that are NOT part of the States.

  45. Mickey Gila

I am canceling the dudsney+ subscription because of their woke activism leaking through to the story lines in recent releases. Never will I let my children see one of their productions without seeing it myself first.

They placed warnings on some old classic movies and removed others all together. Now the new fare is full of objectionable material that I nor the up and coming generation that I am responsible for will watch.

The Universal Studios theme parks now gets my money over dudsneyworld.

What a sad state of affairs the world has evoled into. My guess is Walt is ashamed of his name sake.

  46. Bryan D

Way to miss the point. People are not skipping the movies because they aren’t hand-drawn. People don’t want the woke garbage they’re slipping in there, even if very subtle.
We used to be Annual Pass holders and while I have not gone through the effort of selling my DVC membership, my family will no longer be paying for park admission unless they reverse course and get back to traditional, American values in their films.

  47. Chuck

Quit pretending that 95% of the population is LBGTQ.

    1. Kurt

      Don’t be afraid…..

  48. EKB

It’s not fair that Disney Studios is being held accountable for Pixar’s failure with Lightyear and the new Avatar not doing as well as expected. For example: Why isn’t Encanto’s massive success even mentioned? How about they undo Iger deciding years ago that Disney Studios wouldn’t be creative anymore, they would just buy creative properties. And then people wonder why the Mouse’s studio doesn’t do as well when he’s pushed back to fifth priority. Iger should take a page from the successful Disney leaders (which is not just the family): make the studio and Imagineering top priority. That decision created the best golden ages in Disney which translates to money & success.

  49. Ubit1

They need to get wokeness out of their movies!

  50. Morgan

Disney has forgotten why we loved them. We loved Disney by it was an escape to a simpler more enchanted place for a short time. They are dragging the ugliness of reality into movies for small children and their families. Keep current issues where they belong and out of entertainment for children

    1. Cat

By “ugliness” do you mean Bambi’s mother being murdered in the first 5 minutes of the movie. And yes it is murder if you are humanizing an animal. Or a baby being ripped from his mother. 😏
      ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜

    2. Doug

When my kids and grandchildren were young I felt confident when a Disney movie came out I could let them watch without worrying about the message or content. That’s not the case anymore. Regardless of what arguments are being made in favor of the “woke” content the numbers don’t lie. The more it’s pushed the less they make. It’s not cartoons it’s content.

  51. Doug

It wasn’t the medium mister Iger, it was the content.

  52. evb

Chapek catered too much to the 1% of pedos and groomers who worked at the company. Now the efforts to redeem Disney from his abomination will have to try to take hold.

  53. Mickeymouse3

Popcorn and Coke will kill theaters!
In my state a box of popcorn and a Coke cost more than the movie ticket itself, which is also ridiculously expensive. $15 for popcorn and Coke. Per person. A movie date should not cost $50. Throw in a sitter and it’s even more. There are a few who go to a movie and not buy a snack, but they’re the minority I’m sure. I’ll wait the 2 months and watch it on my big screen at home.

  54. Soul

Disney should go back to making family movies again, without the “not so secret gay agenda” and pushing the narrative that they have to put more and more alphabet soup characters in their movies. Just go back not too far, to the days of Frozen & Encanto, or even farther to movies like Tarzan, Lion King, and Pocahantas. There’s a certain idealistic formula to Disney’s movie might, and it’s not Lightyear, Strange World, and the like.
