I guess somebody forgot there was a bomb cyclone winter storm over the majority of the country over the weekend. So yeah, sales and attendance were probably a bit off. No need to write off the franchise just yet.

My god, what has happened to this site? Most posts lately are negative and occasionally complete BS.

    Be better.

My thoughts exactly. We are having near record cold temperatures, not counting the wind chill, and I’m in the South! So many people are afraid to get on the roads, especially just to see a movie! I would love to see this film on the big screen. But Disney (timing the release for the holidays) could not have anticipated that the storm of a generation would interfere with the ability of fans to come to cinemas.

I didn’t like the first one much and I think the new one is total garbage. I don’t know why people are so invested in this overrated crud.

Nearly half of the country is experiencing near record level cold temperatures, there’s still pandemic hesitation due to the circulation of cold, flu, COVID, and RSV, yet the film still only dropped 58%. Wow. That’s actually great. Lol. Pretty much just means that 2023 films will have to contend with its extended box office takes. I’m definitely seeing it again. Much better story, the most cinematic and theatrically necessary experience I’ve had since probably the first Avatar or Interstellar/Inception. I have a projector and sound system at home. I don’t need to see most films in theaters. Avatar? You’re cheating yourself out of the full experience if you don’t see it in a theater.

We hated the first Avatar movie, so this one is low on our list. We will probably go to see it on a cheap Tuesday night, but we are going to see Puss’n Boots first.
