This is the kind of greedy behavior that could spoil an opportunity to overtake Disney.

This story seems a little bananas to me. (pun intended) You can take bananas into the park, I have done it on several occasions along with apples and even grapes. Doesn’t seem legit to me.

With parks cutting back training lately it’s completely believable.

I have gone to the parks 5 times since October 2021 and have brought a bag of snacks (granulated bars, cereal bars, fruit snacks, ECT,) and was never stopped. Also had 4 bottles of water

You’ve taken Electroconvulsive Therapy with you to the parks? That’s really à strange thing to bring. Unless that was an uneducated way of trying to say “etc,” which is short for “et cetera,” as any adult should know. Of course, there’s also no such thing as “granulated bars,” so we all can see that you’re not educated enough to have a meaningful opinion about anything.

Well you say they took your food at the gate… you went in anyways so you used the ticket and then left at some point in the day…. Nice try but you’re not getting a refund or a new pass! That’s stealing BTW!!

We went years ago. My nephew keeps kosher. We had no problem with him taking a lunch bag with a sandwich for him. Kosher drinks and snacks were purchased in the park.

I’m going to go ahead and bet that the person complaining is one of those people whose entire personality is based on their food restrictions. And I’d imagine that even if Universal had a cart filled with bananas in the middle of the park with a sign that said “please take one with our compliments” the person who posted the story would have come up with a reason why they couldn’t possibly eat a banana from there and left the park anyway.
The real victims here are the people who probably went to the park with this clown and had to leave early.

We have taken fruit and chips, crackers, drinks ( not just water but ice tea, etc) into universal orlando and have never been stopped because of it…….Sounds a little fishy to me………Plus the fact I need something also because my sugar will drop really quickly and if I need something I have it right with me

All this guy had to do was ask the employee at the gate to check with a supervisor about bringing in food that was medically necessary. That would have taken care of the issue. If your medical condition is so fragile that you couldn’t find something in the park to treat it, then you need to say something or stay home. I’m a type 1 diabetic and have had to deal with this my entire life. It’s not hard to do. If a place tells me I can’t bring food in, I stand up for myself. I don’t just say OK and risk having a medical emergency.

I don’t know why a crew member would take those, they’re permitted unless they’re new to the job and didn’t understand. I’m diabetic as well and have small snacks with me & sugar pills in my purse. I’m sure there was something in the park to eat like a fruit cup or something. Definitely follow up with customer service if this is true.
