When we were there, the truck failed to flip over and catch on fire. The stunt crew was standing there waiting for the truck to drive up and it never did, so they moved on, lol! Later, they omitted the scene where Indy was fighting the guy in front of the plane and the blade takes out the bad guy (him disappearing behind the smoke). Instead the guy just “fell down” after a punch from Indy instead. It was a bad luck day for the show apparently!
I’ve seen the show at least 100 times. Sometimes twice in one day. It’s my favorite show. I’ve been selected as an extra three times.
I’ve seen every portion of the show malfunction. From Indy having to walk out at the beginning instead of drop down, to the plane not coming out, to the fire not working at the end.
It’s a live show. Things don’t always work. They manage to do their best. It’s actually fun to watch because you never know how it will actually work out.
