The new annual pass system and reservations and such are not good. I had a top tier pass for both coasts for many years but probably will never participate in it anymore as going feels boring, mechanical and regulated now. No spontaneity allowed and despite reservations it is overcrowded.
We were planning a trip to California and decided we would like to spend a day at Disneyland. Went on line to buy tickets to discover that they had raised prices yet again just 2 days before. It would have cost 4 of us over 700 dollars just for tickets. And these were bare bone tickets, no genie plus, no park hopper. One day! I just couldn’t justify that as much as I love Disney. I’m out. There is too much other good stuff in this big old world to see. From now on I’m spending my money elsewhere. Something tells me I’m going to get a lot more bang for my buck!
I haven’t been able to get an annual pass since giving mine up at the start of the pandemic and we are a handicap family. Annual pass gives us the flexibility to go to the park or not if someone is not up to going to the park on a day of vacation. paying full price for day tickets is not an option we appreciate. last trip we were down two days due to health issues and that cost is in excess of 400.00 for our family of 4. with an annual pass we can schedule a 10 day trip and use it if we don’t go its fine. the park reservation is also a concern so much so we sold half our dvc and will contemplate at the end of 2023 if we want to still be a disney family or move on to other adventures through out the United States. plenty of other options for less money.
Like countless others, we never intend to return to the parks. There is a VERY long list of reasons!! All the cuts, the HUGE crowds and lack of magic are some of the top reasons. We’ve ONLY vacationed at Disney World for our entire adult lives but We. Are. Done!!!!!
Hilarious.
Disney raises the prices so they can offer everyone a discount so it seems like a deal when in reality, its not and they still make bank by duping guests into thinking they got a great deal.

They think they that discounts will overcome how much they ticked off their most loyal guests. It isn’t going to work the way they expect it to.
